Cheer's willo88 that's about the height I'm looking for... Just another question for you guy's using the King 's SSL Front / SSSL Rear combo, Is anybody running a 4 inch exhaust with this combo and if so how is the clearance ?? Much scrapage of it's livable ??
-
Very Nice mate, well done, can't wait to see it punching out some solid number's... How much power has the car made ??
-
Cheer's Bonjaz I'll take a look, Yeah Griffo I was told by Suspension City if I wanted it nice and low as in to the top's of the tyres right round, I should fit SSL Front's & SSSL Rear's, I just wanted to see if anybody had this combo and what it look's like before I make a decision... Would be good if you can throw up a pic in this thread and your thought's after you have fitted them if you can please... Also when going that low is Front / Rear Camber kit's etc etc needed or no ??
-
OK Guy's who is using King's Lowered Spring's in G6ET's and what are you using ?? Any Pic's ?? Cheer's

That would be the difference from making 400rwkw on a standard engine than doing a built engine to go to 500-550rwkw and beyond, it's obvious his pushing for far better than 10's, in fact if it all came together with 144mph it would be somewhere down near the middish 9's I would think, and I'm pretty sure his looking to go further than that still, give him some time, it will come... It's pretty obvious the more you push the more you break, It's not Johnny's fault that thing's go wrong, and when the Engine builder's in another state and involves engine's in and out and loading on pallet's and shipping back and forth it's time consuming... If he wound his down to 400rwkw he could probly drive around Australia LOL!!

If you don't mind me asking, what was the price on the GTX and also the Harrop Truetrac ?? PM me if you don't want to post it up... Cheer's
-
Do you have a XCAL3 already ?? Cos if you don't that will gobble up about $7-$800 of your budget straight up, unless you get a second handy to save some coin... Other than that the stock exhaust should be ok, just get a hi-flow cat, some injector's and tune really, OR just lash out and get a Nizpro cooler and piping kit and a hi-flow cat for now, fit that, then piece together injector's and XCAL3 and then just tune... BTW how's your economy ?? BTW abit off topic but how many K's are you getting from a full tank, and what fuel are you using ??

Merry Christmas People's and a Safe & Happy New Year to you all....

If I was going that way mate it would probably be easier pissing off the electric fuel pump's altogether and going mechanical or belt driven pump, no electric's or wiring involved to play up then, and probably way cheaper...
-
Yeah there is breather can, bracketry and stuff aswell, just posted up the main thing's as I just like to leave it in boxes, save's having to re-package it... There Will be the odd track day when I want to see how fast it will go, but it's main priority is Street Driving and lot's of it, I will run a seperate breather tank in the boot with a hose pushing out any excess blowby to underneath the boot floor, won't be any oil or moisture in it just air pretty much... I also made sure I ordered the Drysump pump with Provision for Mechanical Rear Driven Fuel pump should I ever need it, just incase

Ok got a few new pic's some item's have turned up and my new New plates which should suit it nicely and annoy a few of the Expensive Daewoo Brigade... My 2500+ HP Fuel pump & Reg, CBF unboxing inline filter's so I'm sure you all know what they look like... New goodies that have turned up...Peterson 4 Stage R4 Drysump Pump... Peterson Inline Filter and Pulley to suit... Peterson 3 Gallon Drysump Tank... And last but not least, new plates That's it for now, I'll post some more up as thing's progress...

Saturday night should be good it's going to be 31 and Sunday 29 so it should be nice and warm overnight, perfect for beach and highway...
-
Well done Ivan, time to throw on a decent turbo and go for gold mate...
-
Yeah nah Heathcote get's busy but mainly the big meeting's, other than that it's reasonable quiet, even on a busy day you'd get 5-10 passes I reckon...
-
I think Johnny's car just need some track time to sort out what boost level's to leave the line at etc, at Calder if you stuff 1 run it's a 2hr wait and if you stuff it again it's all for nothing... Spoken to him about it already, Really his best bet to sort it would be a couple of Heathcote session's to get some more practice in, you will go round in circles up there compared to the waiting time at Calder...

That's what I was thinking qik1, but I'm still up in the air, I've heard they chew front and rear bushing's & balljoint's etc, that's the only thing stopping me from buying 1... If they could rectify that problem or have made bushes to overcome the chewing out problem I'd seriously consider 1, as I have a Nizpro Cobra kit etc lying around and other assorted bit's and pieces, enough to muster up a decent setup, would probly just need a GTX, surge tank, and exhaust pretty much... 400awkw would be tuff as nail's in an AWD car, then just have 2 tune's, E85 for fun, and a 91 low boost & timing tune for towing, don't need stuff all boost like 5-8psi would be plenty enough...
-
Burnout sound's nut's, need's like 2.7 gearing and the thing would spin forever... Damn pesky C4, hopefully it's a cheap and easy fix, might be time to consider a tuff glide Milan... Goodluck mate...

Is that a typo mate ?? 9.1 second Terry Turbo ?

From what I know from a fairly decent source Apparently Calder Park is closing down after next meeting and won't be opening for whoever know's how long, there is a possibility that it may never re-open at all, there is also talk of a possible sell off to developer's for housing, the whole staff have been told that this next meeting will be the last and they have all been given the a$$... Apparently last couple of meet's have been Bob's last scramble for scavenging cash which as why cost's have gone up to grab some extra while he can...I'm told he has to hand the track over to his eldest Son, who is now the New owner by a certain date just before Xmas, so Bob is no longer the owner, it is up to his son's discretion as to what become's of the track, the fate of it is in his hand's, so it may be fixed up and stay as a track, or it may be sold off to developer's and he'll walk away with a nice large bank balance... Apparently the timeboard's weren't working because the son had takin some intrumental part of it off so they wouldn't work, not sure if this was just to piss bob off and cause backlash from racer's towards him or just because it's a sign of thing's to come...
-
Nah don't know the owner mate, last I seen he had just fitted a Lexus 4ltr V8 & powerglide with a turbo strapped to the side in another KE 20 Corolla, think it may be for burnout and powerskid purposes but who know's...
-
Well done mate, gota be happy with that, 9sec family truckster, hell yeah....
-
Yeah bloody wiper's woulda scared sh!t outa ya flicking up at that speed... Here's another from outside of same car, if I can cruise off the line and run similar number's in full street trim it will be mission accomplished... The Torque of the 4ltr should be a fair bit more than a 2J aswell...
-
Yeah I'll grab some more pic's as she come's back together, as mentioned the engine's out and back at Atomic getting the internal oiling mod's done, Brad has told me which Dry Sump bit's I need such as Pump & Pulley, Tank, Filter's etc, so I have ordered the lot about a week ago, should have it all in my hand's within a couple of week's I would guess,It's Definately not a cheap route to go, but should be worth it's weight in gold when the thing's launching on slick's with 30+ psi on board, or singing under high RPM continuously or for long period's, I would rather pay for it now than have to pay for a failure or something in the long run....Once I receive it all and send it to Brad, then there's only Sump, Balancer Pulley, and Bracketry which he does on his end... Yeah LOL, nah it look's bad in the pic's the amount of fuel that flow's out of them, but that's like dual 500lb injectors, but that's the amount of fuel something like Robert Campese's Mustang would flow under WOT....Should be reasonably efficient, although it's not really something I would worry about economy all to much, it's more of a weekend street warrior than a daily driver economy car...If I can get 300k's to a tank on E85 I will be happy though... LOL, Yeah would be like that with dual injector's like that setup LOL...Nah No Rajab, His not tuning this 1 Rob, looking for somebody that's done some Big Powered Barra's with vast experience in both them, Motec and AMS1000, my option's are open ATM and I have a few in mind both in Vic & Sydney, my aim is conservative 1000rwhp or better on Pump E85, but who know's how much it will really make until it hit's a dyno and I say stop...I must admit I am a touch excited to get it to that stage, it will be very interesting as the car is roughly 1500lb lighter than a BA, so even at say 1200hp @ Flywheel, I would predict it would be in the mid to high 7's @ around 175-180mph, depending on final finished weight...( I'm just going by what it weighed with me in it, full tank & spare with a cast iron V8, it may come in lighter, it may not )Couple more pic's I dug out...During it being setup...Rear shot before it went in for rear end surgery...Want to see what 30+psi is like in a little car with a big 6cyl in it...Watch this...

Also forgot to add I also have the full fuel system to compliment the injector's aswell, consist's of... Magnafuel MP-4103 2500+HP Fuel Pump MP-9950 Black Fuel Reg MP-7008 & MP-7009 Pre & After Filter's, I have all these in boxes I just CBF opening everything up to take pic's... Also may have the FG sump for sale soon aswell, I have sent my engine back to Atomic, the order is full stage 4 Peterson Dry Sump kit, I may also be selling the Turbocharger aswell in the not to distant future, just waiting for the release in Australia of the GTX 47-88's....

Yes Injector choice are Moran Billet's, they come with a lifetime warranty, can be fully upgraded all the way up to 600lb is required... Here's a video of how they work compared I think it may be an ID2000 but I could be wrong... Here's sorta how they spray in real life, but take note this is duel injector's per cylinder...
