  1. Well done mate, that's a focking fast work ute and with that MPH mid 10's should be easy to achieve...
  2. Fairlane has run a 8.8-8.9 @ 155mph im pretty sure now, but what it does on a prepared sticky surface to what it can do on regular un-prepared road is a different thing altogether, it would be atleast a half a second to a second slower... GTR will when tuned right up chew it up and spit it out... Last I heard he was trying to sell the fairlane, as his building this... http://www.youtube.com/user/turbocorty#p/u/16/NnxSXPXmdC4 Fitted with this... http://www.youtube.com/user/turbocorty#p/u/0/oCpzA0paAMs
  3. Just rumour's bro, we asked once by somebody we raced, I wont mention who, I mentioned to it will be capable when completely wound up to knock out 1000hp or more reliably all day everyday, but we didn't say @ wheel's, we just said HP, people just making there own sh*t up and the story get's longer and longer from then on as you know... You think the acceleration look's savage, try holding your head straight enough to look outa the windscreen LOOLOL... My VL on same power as the GTR ran an easy 9.4 @ 150mph taking off under 15psi to stop it turning tyres, if I coulda got it to take off it woulda ran 9.1'ish pretty easily on only 22psi...With the GTR you have same traction on the street as the track which is where the advantage is...
  4. He fixed the car from what I have heard, it's all been repaired and is back on the road...
  5. Yeah the GTR wasn't built on a crazy budget neither, a Good mate of mine built and tuned the engine, and my mate ( The owner ) does all the removal and refitment of the driveline, It's just a well thought out combination, was only just the first tune after run in when we had the encounter and was same power as the old setup to start with to re-familiarise with the car... Yes had an encounter with George back then, I think his car was running around 10.2-10.3 then aspirated and we handed it to him nicely on every occasion, he even tried jumping us before the green but we still got him, now his upped it with a Turbocharged setup and alot more power, but the GTR has a new setup aswell with alot more power... Im lookin to make same or more power than my old GTR by a decent margin this time, but in a much lighter car with a biiiggg tyre...
  6. A mate of mine had a jog with the silver 180 1 night on on bypass in my old GTR, we took him pretty easily, that was just the first small tune after running in the car aswell... We've been looking for haddad and that twin turbo fairlane but haven't came accross either of them yet... We did encounter some yellow mid 10sec LH G Pak Torana on slick's or radial's, he jumped us from low speed roll ( 20-30k's ), but ended up about 10 cars behind 2 gear changes later...LOL!!! Cant wait till my car's ready it's going to be mint....
  7. No worries will do... Cheer's
  8. Hey Sid, Cheer's mate, It was either go 9inch, roll cage etc in my XR6T which would render it illegal on the street anyhow and be a waste of such a good car, or return it to stock & dust off the Capri and step back into a Tuff old school car, but this time im taking technology with me... With Classic look's, Alot Less weight & Technology on my side you cant go wrong... Steve
  9. Hey mate, Hell Yeah your setup woulda been crazy in a Capri or Cortina, imagine 1 gutted with your driveline...
  10. Yeah im not after a Strip only car this time, im putting all that aside, This time it's going to be Street before Strip and will be fully engineered although with a stock hotside setup, BUT I will take it out to see what she's capable of, the aim will be 8.50 or better, driven to the track and home on Radial's on E85... 1000fwhp should see me get there pretty easily without leaning on it to hard with plenty of room to spare... Weight difference is roughly 1500lb lighter than a Falcon so it's going to be a handfull and very fun to drive, cant wait... Cheer's Steve
  11. Yeah cheer's mate, here's a sneak peak... It's getting there reasonably fast now but is still work in progress but it's moving along smoothly... Im guessing I shouldn't require as much power as your car to get me there as I should have a fair weight advantage by a fairly decent margin... Main objective for it is the street, with a few odd blast's at the track every now and again, and being this light, even off boost the torque of the 4ltr should still make it still move along fairly rapidly... Steve
  12. Awesome effort mate, gota be happy with that... I cant wait to get my car finished and get out there, im chasing similar time's in full street trim driven to and from the track....
  13. If he smashes most thing's with that skyline his playing in the kid's section...
  14. A mate who was on the highway friday night said he seen a black G6 with black wheel's stalking *Beep* aswell, I wonder if it was johnny's G6...
  15. Strange, so what now becomes of your cam's you bought from Atomic ??
  16. Sad, certainly proves money cant buy you everything in life...
  17. Ive got a Dellow Adaptor on my glide it came up mint for fitment...
  18. Yeah mate ive just finished having it installed, just gota finish off tomorrow if mechanic can be stuffed, if not monday it is...I'll let you know how it work's... Cheers
  19. Ended up buying a Genuine Turbo tran's off sloxr6 off this forum, car had 62000 genuine k's on the clock he said so should be sweet and last for a fair while...
  20. Cheer's mate thanks for all your help I'll give them a try...
  21. Cheer's mate, yeah well im presuming the Turbo's had a pretty similar transmission, just unsure if it's EXACT, he is leaving the car stock as a rock as it's his daily and doesnt wana muck with it, so yeah fingers crossed everythings exactly the same and his back on the road... If anybody else know's anything for certain please feel free to post... Cheers
  22. Hey guy's, a mate's stock 03 XR6T tranny has died for the 2nd time, this is a stock as a rock standard T, question is I have a near new BA NA auto lying around which I told him he can have to get him out of trouble if he need's, as he uses it daily as his work car, Now we are just wondering if anybody know's are they exactly the same or will bolt in and work etc as we dont wana pull it all out only to find out nothing's guna line up or it's not guna work... Is wiring and plug's the same ?? Trans lines etc etc It's only a temporary thing to continue to get him to work and back for a month or 2... Anybody know ??
  23. AMS Alpha 12 VS UGR Twin Turbo Gallardo... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqrFIXnrugs
  24. With the 47-88 I will start the converter at around the 4000rpm mark and see how that goes, will make it either looser or tighter from there, with the diff gear's I will be probly starting with 3.9's and also will make changes till I get a happy medium for both street and track... Rear end will be eventually having some major changes as well, it will be running either 325/50/15 or 315/60/15 ET street's, I'll make final decision when it's ready to commence...
  25. Hey mate, car's not a shell, it's the car pictured below... Engine is Brand spanker's Atomic 998GT-R (same as GTECH 8sec BA) pictured below... I have already fitted the Atomic engine into my BA and have fully ran it in, so all's it need's now is to be transplanted into the Capri once it has had the engine conversion done in a few week's time finger's crossed ( Using original engine outa my BA as dummy engine )... So once the engine conversion's completed and engine bay get's repainted,( Probly change engine bay color to black at that stage if I decide im going to change color) all's that's needed is final fitment of engine/trans and accesories and fire it up and it's ready to tune pretty much straight up...
