Im not doubting the ZF's are a tuff unit, it's just not practicle, You only would use something like that in a heavyweight car to get it up to speed alot quicker, in something as light as the Capri it will just amount to even more rediculous amount's of wheelspin and your not going to be wanting to have to reach for the shifter every split second when it's all over the road...As for ZF and lag it would depend on the size of the turbocharger you would be using, anything under a GT42 wouldn't be laggy at all, step up to a GT45 and above which is what im using and the lag is greater but with the lightness of the car it should still even husle of boost because of the torque of the 4ltr... Well Atomic reckon my engine will be good for about 7800-8000rpm, it is there big banger GT-R version and it has all there best gear, so yeah im sure that would be plenty enough RPM, besides I've got a number of 9" centre's and numerous gearset's ranging from 3.0's to 4.5's in the garage so I'll play around with gearing and get a perfect medium, so I only need 2 gear's, warp factor & godspeed LOL!! I have made 785rwkw on the dyno with my VL, but unfortunately cannot put the power to the ground, kept braking glide's, 9" diff's, axles, tailshaft's etc, ended up turning it down to 460rwkw and ran 9.4 @ 150mph on 22psi...Can happily run that power with BP98, my mate with my old 32 GTR is trying to convince me to buy another and put this motor in with a 2spd glide for the highway, im taking this into consideration...
