Running Castrol Edge 10w60 as recommended by Castrol in my tuned TT. Castrol seemed to be the only ones recommending a grade of oil for the territory. When questioning there tech line on the heavier 60wt oil they believe the extra heat under the bonnett from the top mount was why the heavier oil as compared to the T sedans. Ford told me to use Helix Gas. Cheers, Rougho

Hi guys, have a 12 mth old TT with a custom CV tune and have been dreading the day it had to go back to ford for some warrenty work. Today was the day to replace a worn front lh cv under warrenty. My prob is I cant flash back to ford before it goes in as the car wont run cleanly on the big injectors fitted, and I ran the risk of ford overwriting my custom tune. They did apparently upload some minor PCM updates but car seems to run alright and accepted a tune straight away. If ford flashed it to a new tune, overwriting my custom, can I just rewrite it and be on my way? If not my car would have been stuck not accepting its tune running way rich with the big injectors.... Is this correct and has anyone else had these probs. Cheers. rougho

yeh, had a set of kings springs fitted on my TT and it dropped it 40mm. reckon they cant go any lower with awd but I have seen lower. sits nice now but the main gain was it now goes around corners like a half decent sports car now with minimal body roll and I reckon a more comfy ride. hope this helps . cheers.

hi Adjust, Awesome tow car, the 2.1t weight of the TT with an edit and debung with 600nm torque at all 4 wheels its just the best. Ive had v8s all my life and never experianced the ease of towing with the TT. I only tow a van once a year but it was one of the main reasons of choosing a TT. Avg fuel over 600kms is only 23l/100 but you can set the cruise at 100 and forget about it and do it uphilll and downhill all day. Top tow vehicle.

Hi guys, first post ever so real virgin here. Bought my TT nearly 3wks ago now and love it. Yes they are coming down in dollars as found one in Syd at dealer for 41k with 12000kms. Had CV remove bung, edit, injectors and filter last week. Went in with 170awkw and left with a lazy 240awkw. Too easy. Missus daily driver and she hasnt been over 3000rpm yet and dosnt know any different. Had a set of Kings springs installed last week also, took all the wishy washy out of it. Tops. Admiitedlly being a Expensive Daewoo man over the last few yrs and just sold a 05 sv8 6spd this 2t truck is way too much fun. You ford blokes have been hiding these turbo things for way too long. Im hooked and having a ball everytime I climb in it. Cheers, rougho.
