This is kinda funny, everyone always says how will it run up against a 5.7L Late model camira yet in the same sentence there saying if I modify it and it's putting down 300rwkw OF COURSE your going to blow the 5.7L doors off the 5.7 even in the HSV only did around 300 flywheel Kw. However if you bolted up a turbo to the 5.7 well it would be bye bye xr6!.

I know that these kind of posts have been done before, but I'm looking to buy and 2nd hand BA XR6 Turbo to complement my VY SS. However yes I know they got power but I've heard that they had build issues such as rust in the firewalls and the turbos failing. Does anyone know of these build issues? I'm a Diesel Mechanic by trade, so simple engines fixes I can do but I don't want to be heaving the thing out, nor do I want to be doing panel work. I've looking at ones with around 88k on the clock. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cheers
