  1. Make mould. Make sure you have a releasing type material so the fiberglass mould will pull away once it dries (I use celo tape at work) sometimes if we are making a new mould we also coat the mould in a thin layer of polish so it's easier to pull away from. Cut your strips of matting up for your hard to reach areas and this makes it easier to get it all good and done properly. On your bigger areas you can obviously use larger sections of glass mat. Also make sure you have enough glass for the job, you don't want to get half way through the job and run out. Get a paint brush, you may want a smaller one for small and tight areas and also a larger for large sections. Make up your resin and catalyst mix. We use a 2% catalyst to resin ratio. Again make sure you have enough for the job. Make sure the mix ratio is right. Different products may have a different ratio, should say on the labels anyway. Brush the resin mix onto the mould you have made up. Then once you have a layer of resin down lay your mat over the top and brush more resin onto the mat. Once that layer of mat is done repeat laying more mat and resin down until you have your desired thickness. After each layer and before you start the next layer make sure there are no dry parts of mat because then you'll get air bubbles and it will be brittle and easier to crack. When I repair glass body kits depending on where it is I will usually lay 4-6 layers down. Once this is all done grab yourself a beer sit back and watch your fiberglassing excellence dry. After its dry and your happy with it sand it back a bit so the bog/ body filler will stick to the job, sand it up sand till it's smooth then paint. Now grab another beer and listen to the fully sick doof doof.

  5. 03 BA Xrt Just clicked 218000. Had to replace both lower rear control arms. Motor has 18000 on it, gearbox and clutch has been in for 5000 without any problems. My car has turned into a bitsa!

    that's the old tune. it does look like the power came in around the same but it felt alot different driving the car. I havent got my new dyno sheet yet but the power curve is a lot steeper.

    thanks mate no videos as yet but im working on it. just a few photos. yeah they dont. the t5 was still alive but the t56 came up at an offer I couldnt refuse so it was a easy choice. not the best pic, I'll get better ones in the next few days.

    well its been a while since I updated this. heres what has gone on lately mid 2010 bent number 2 rod, full engine rebuild with SCAT rods, Arias pistons, billet oil pump gears, race series bearings, flowed head, new plazmaman hot side and cold side pipework and cooler with a custom 3inch intake and battery relocated to the boot. retuned it to 420hp to keep the T5 alive. time went on and the car didnt really get much done to it. got married and then it was time to rip out the still alive a kicking T5. replaced it with a T56 with MWshort shifter, braided lines and a MW option 3 clutch. added a stereo for the in car entertainment It stayed like that for a couple of months and then it was time for more power. fitted a plazmaman 4inch intake and a Xforce stainless exhaust, 4 inch dump and 3.5inch single all the way Dropped it off for a retune at LK motors in Cairns where she reeled of a very healthy 522hp/389kw and over 800nm at 18psi. next will be a surge tank and another tune and maybe a bigger turbo.
  13. yeah they were saying it was taking a while to get the valve, it turned up friday arvo or something. dan is very particular when it comes to tuning, he makes sure they are spot on before he lets them go.

  15. Yeah, heading up to fong-on about 12ish for the Xmas party, got a wake boat up there so there will be plenty of water action and a hell of a lot of beer haha. Yeah it hits the dyno tomorrow hopefully. I want it back by Monday so it better be on there tomorrow. Im going to head in tomorrow morning to have a look and see how it's going.

[/quote] its under the bonnet so it will only be sleeper until you pop the bonnet anyway, then BAM not so sleeper. I dont know if I should paint it citric to match the rocker cover or keep it to match pipwork...... might paint half of it

  22. Like many have before me I broke an engine, bent and twisted number 2 rod. Only recently pulled the swaybar linkage clean out of the rear lower control arm.
