  1. Yeah it's a joke. They do this crap just as the cops are starting to give us a bit of breathing space. We can plastic weld it mate, depending on how farked it is. Bring it out and we can have a look. Would you like that window surround tapped back down as well haha
  2. Sorry Ej my bad. It was on Saturday night at a mates bucks night. F@rkin stupid if you ask me. Naz is one of the blokes who was always carrying on about the young idiots around here doing stupid sh!t in their crap boxes having an effect on people like us who enjoy our cars and like to go on a cruise. Only a matter of time until this hits ACA and the media have a field day with it. Going to make it very hard for anyone with anything slightly modified.
  3. That was years ago Ej. When maccas was still half good

  5. I got mine out the rear passenger door Also with force and a bit if swearing.
  6. Yeah I'll probably look for a late bf block. I just hope whatever I get the same thing doesn't happen again. I'll be getting it crack tested so hopefully nothing is wrong with the new one.
  7. Yeah it sucks but I guess that's what happens and unfortunately they show up at the worst times. Yeah I will transfer my stuff into another block. I was going to put it into a brand new FG block from ford but found out today they dont sell just blocks but only short motors. So I'll probably try and find a low k's BF one.
  8. Well the problem wasn't found. After a couple of days of having the car back I seen it was still using coolant. Took it back in to find what the problem is. Got the news today that it's got a cracked block.
  9. Go and have a chat to Dan like Shp said. Make sure you are nice to the office girl....... She's my wife Oh and you'll probably see my citric BA turbo there too
  10. No probs mate, $300 for the head studs and $180 for the head gasket.
  11. Hey mate yeah it was a bit of a bummer but it's all sorted now. The head got tested and decked, it was 4thou out which was an easy fix. We chucked in a cometic head gasket and a set of ARP headstuds for a bit more security for when we step the power up a bit more.
  12. Is this guy the new dynowog?
  13. The photo was taken in the mirror of my car by the passenger.
  14. While I was digging through the archives I found some photos of Johns car going through its different stages
  15. yeah I'll be doing the head studs and cometic gasket. Valve springs were done 3 years ago
  16. The problem has been found! Its the head gasket. What looks like has happened is the leak was so small that it was only using the coolant while the car was driving and under load and that is why we couldnt get it on the pressure tests and there was no sign of it on the pistons. Took the oil cap off today and its a milkshake. so the head is coming off early this next week to be sent and get checked over and decked, the parts should get ordered monday so while we are waiting for parts im going to get it towed to my work so I can weld up some unused holes and smooth the bay over and give it a fresh coat of paint which should make it look better.
  17. nope, we've tested that. had a camera down the pistons to check for water aswell
  18. I know of a bloke who has recently been caught driving a VE GTS on his P's. He has lost his license and now has to sell the car.
  19. Yeah heater was on and didn't loose a drop. It only drops when it is driven. I think we are going to put it on the dyno and see if we can find it. I'm going to pull the radiator out (again) this weekend and go right over it.
  20. What a pain in the ar$e. Got the car back today, and the mechanic couldn't find a problem. The system was under pressure lastnight and didn't drop a bit. The turbo was checked for signs of coolant, nothing. They ran the car for an hour today to see if it was going anywhere while the motor was running and still nothing. I'm starting to think it's playing jokes on me.
  21. You having the same problem mate? They have put the system under pressure overnight so hopefully when they get in tomorrow morning there should be some signs of where it's going. I read somewhere that there is a o-ring in the water pump that gives way so maybe it might be a $3 part instead of a turbo.
  22. I use a heat gun, panel hammer and dolly.
  23. Yep, I've had the whole dash and heater box out and checked over to make sure there was no problems. It's at the mechanics now so they can find what the problem is.
  24. Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Do you know where to get the dye and how to do it?
  25. I live in FNQ. there are police everywhere.
