I've noticed these have recently been done for our cars http://velocityauto.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&path=61&product_id=107 They have made these for the LS powered commonwhores for a while now.
I've had my gearbox out a few times and had the same clutch scenario as you, it took a bit of a drive to get it back to normal. It was also hard to change gears.
My car is tuned with VCM. It used to be tuned with SCT. I believe the car runs and drives a lot better with VCM but that may come down to my tuner preferring it over SCT.
No it doesn't matter I was just curious to see if anyone else had seen this. If the tyres are stamped wrong then I've been ripped by the tyre shop..... Those bastards have charged me 19" prices for 18's!
Yeah they are definately genuine, they are stamped FPV, came off a GTE which spent all of its life in a garage and were still wearing the original dunlops. Haha all good then, I got them at a good price.
Evening boys and girls I had to get my rear tyres rebalanced today because one of the weights spat off. Anywho while I was getting them done the tyre dude pointed out that the stamp on the inside said they were 18x8 when they are actually 19x8's. They are genuine FPV 19inch silver argents which came off a 2008 FG GTE and have FPV stamped on the inside. Why does the stamp say they are 18's? is this a stuff up buy ford or are they all like that??
This is where I put mine, it's mounted on the ecu bracket. I find the noise not too bad mounted here, I don't know if the bracket takes some of the noise out though.
Yeah it's a handful, the boost comes in at about 2700rpm and once it reaches 21 it stays there I'm very happy with the VCM tune, car runs and drives unreal
Ive fitted a Mr turbo spec GTX3582r since my stock turbo let go not long after my 580hp tune. I got the car retuned on saturday, we ended up with 623hp/464kw @21psi. Very happy with the car now, it was tuned with VCM suite and has never driven better then now.
Yeah the 3540 died a week later so I think it was too much for it haha. Can't get E85 in Cairns unless its in a 44 and being a 4 day a week driven car it's not really viable. It will be tuned with pump 98, but I'm not reaching for max power figures, just want it to be safe and reliable. I may do a 98+toulene mix but I'll see how it goes
Well all the coils were tested today and all of them came back perfect so that's not the problem. It's getting towed in tomorrow to get sorted. We are now thinking harmonic balancer or crank angle sensor.
