An update on my issue. The car was at Ford for 2 days with no result. They replaced the fuel filter and then told me they couldn't replicate the issue, a quick drive out the freeway and sure enough under throttle it misfired and lost power. I decided I would give replacing the plugs and coils a go, I got a nasty surprise when I removed the coils. They where wet! I suspect this was from when I cleaned the engine, but I will check again soon to make sure the water didn't come from somewhere else. About 5 minutes of removing covers and Ford could have found the issue, useless. Anyway, all sorted and back to normal

Good Afternoon All I have a stock BA XR6T that recently started misfiring badly. It could be a coincidence but I did clean some hoses and piping with water (wiping not spraying). I thought something could have been wet, but it’s been 2 weeks and the car has been hot so all moisture would be gone. The misfire is rather random, sometimes it won’t idle correctly, sometimes it’s under slight load e.g. a roundabout and sometimes only when full throttle. I took it to my local Ford dealer (Blacklocks - Albury-Wodonga) they advised it was a blocked fuel filter as fuel pressure was down. Replaced but the issue still exists. I thought maybe dirty fuel, it now has a fresh tank of 98. What should I try next? Coils? Plugs? If anyone knows of a good mechanic in the Albury-Wodonga area that would also be appreciated. Hi, I have a stock 03 XR6 Turbo. About once or twice a week when I start the car, it idles fine... then when putting it into drive, reverse or any other gear... The engine will shudder/miss very badly. I have to turn off the car and start it again, its then fine. Ive taken it to Ford and they said there was no error codes in the computer, they reflashed it for good measure anyaway. Problem is there Has anyone else had this issue, if so what did you do to fix it? Thanks.

Hi, Owner of a currently stock 03 BA XR6 Turbo. I'm wanting to do a few mods to get a bit more power. Question 1. How much power is safe for the transmission, engine and driveline etc? The reason I ask, I have mate that got work done (Custom Tune, CAI, Exhaust, Valve Springs, Cooler, Fuel System) his car made 303rwkw at 12 psi. Since then he has done a gearbox and now has a crack in his turbo. Is this common with this much power? At this stage I'm thinking of going for around 270 - 280rwkw. Whats required to achieve this kind of power? I was thinking Intake, Intercooler, Exhaurst and a custom tune. Is the fuel system capable of this? My last question is, I'm in Dubbo NSW (5 hours from Sydney, 4.5 hours from Canberra). Who's the best tuner to take it to? CV Performance? Thanks in advance, Greenie.

Thanks for the reply's ASL sure do sell them for $370 AUD. The video converters can be had for $140 AUD. Any one seen some good instructions on making the cable that interfaces with the ICC? Thanks.

Hi, I’m in the process of researching components and software for building a carpc in my XR6T with ICC. My goals include * DVD Playback * MP3/Divx/Xvid Playback * GPS * On Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) * Network Access (Will use Wireless NIC) * Hands Free Phone (Via Bluetooth) * Touch Screen My Questions are 1. I’ve read lots of posts about making a VGA to ICC cable, some with converters and some with ArcadeVGA cards. Is there somewhere I can purchase a VGA to ICC cable pre made? 2. What are people using for the computers? Currently I’m thinking a MicroATX board cased in the boot. 3. Software, what are people using? RoadRunner looks like it should do what I want 4. OBD-II, What obd cables and software are people using with their XR6T's? Please excuse me if many of these questions have been asked in the past, I’ve searched and found allot of mixed information. Thanks for everyones input. From what I've been reading, a touchscreen is the ultimate solution. Just need to find one that fits and is easy enough to install Thanks. Greenie

Hi, Long time reader first time poster! I'm looking at putting a car computer into my XR6 Turbo. I would like to use the ICC Colour Screen already in the car, I've seen the converters that allow me to plug VGA into them, but because they are not touch screen, I'm interested to hear from people using the ICC screen as to how they interface with the carputer. IR Remote, Touch Screen Overlay, Trackball, Keyboard and Mouse etc? Thanks. Greenie.
