  1. Mark was smart giving to up for 2 weeks. He will be so much better then
  2. Shouldnt bend these bad boys. Fat bar and braced.
  3. Yes I agree. But it will be death on the brakes. If he finishes on the podium it will be insane. I once broke 2 ribs about 20ks from the car while dirt bike riding. Kick starting the 500 was death. Then when we go back to the car we realized my mate who was holding my keys has left the tool pack open (XR600) and they fell out (bloody smoke breaks). So they go you will never find them. Luckily I had a pink and blue key to stand out. I grabbed a guys WR200 and headed back. About 10ks out there they were in the middle of the track. I remember riding flat out so the concentration and adrenaline took away the pain. But back at the car it was death. We were 150ks from home. A six pack of wild turkey cans on the way home dulled the pain. Then by the time I got home it was about 7.30. When I walked in the GP 500 was starting , so I watched it and then went to the hospital. That was 1997. I have 100s of stories like that. You would have as well.
  4. Hey BCB, you recon Mark will ride today? You think he will race? Go for win or cruise for points? If he crashes and bends that plate !!
  5. Kids Luv the bikes I had a lot of bike trailers. But this is the best one I have designed yet. Check my bars. Had a little crash.

  9. Found some shots of my 84 katana. A few mods on this old girl
  10. GP this weekend. Mark should try on saturday. If he races he should just ride for some points. If he bends the plate it will be bad. Found this photo of my meanstreak just before I started to modify it.

  12. Have you got a stainless mesh 10 micron fuel filter. If you have the stock one maybe its blocked. The ethanol eats the glue
  13. So pump cant be accessed without tank removal. ?? Looks like NO. Cut a hole in the floor for next time...
  14. It used to be, oil ok OK, tyres 30 and 34 Check. Enough fuel to where I am going. Check. Steering damper wound full on Check. Wait for 50% of the boys to go. Then carve the pack and see how long I can beat the second guy to the destination. 97 - 03. Those days were EPIC............................. I was so stupid. I had no fear. I would wheelie past guys in 5th gear at over 240kph. I think back now I was mental. But it bought all the racer boys to my motorcycle shop, for hot ups tyres, tune ups, new exhaust. Ha those were the days and I am still alive.
  15. Instructions for removal if you are going to send to me for repair. These instructions aid in the removal of dash items that are required to allow removal of the BA BF Starter button. Just follow the steps. 1) Remove the dash cluster. There are 5 screws, three in the top of the cluster and 2 at the bottom near the top of the steering column. See figure 1. Figure 1 2) With the dash out you will have access to the large nut on the rear of the starter button. Use a spanner to loosen the nut. If the front of the button housing starts to rotate use long nose pliers to hold it. Don’t forget the rag so it doesn’t scratch, See figure 2 Figure 2 3) Follow the wiring back from the button down to the plug connection. Disconnect the plug by pressing the release tab. As the plug connection does not fit through the nut the three wires need to be removed from the plug. This is done by lifting the small locking tab and then using a very small flat blade screwdriver to release the internal plastic tab to release the connection pins. NOTE – LABEL THE WIRE LOCATION ON THE PLUG TO AID IN REASSEMBLY. If removing the pins is too difficult, cut the wiring harness at about the central location and once I have repaired the button, I will remove the 3 pins and rejoin the cut section, see figures 3, 4 and 5. Figures 3 & 4 Figure 5 4) Re-installation is the reverse of disassembly. Please ensure the button is wrapped satisfactorily so the aluminum housing is not damaged or scratched in transport. Use a 500g Aus Post express bag and include a self-address additional bag so I can post back. I conduct the repair the day the switch arrives and post return the next day.
  16. 2 more repairs, Repairs include a brand new switch installed in your bezel and any damaged wiring repaired. My CNC bezel with the help of Blair in the east. Complete new switches will be available and they will be cheaper than used ones that will fail over time. 2 new repairs Fresh cut CNC bezel. Thanks Blair. Billet rules. Fresh repairs. One is factory button, the other one I use. I think the factory is on the left but I honestly cant remember , The replacement switch feels softer and nicer to push than factory.
