I find its always good to have a bit of shaft play..... Its needs it so it can expand with the friction. BUT be careful, sometimes they explode and that makes a real mess.
The bloke that owned that car back in the day was "captain underpants"
I will find some threads , images and posts. Turbo falcon Car scene in Perth is small.
Both pistons are gravity cast. F6 has no forging. Just a thicker section in areas and a reduced compression. The pin and piston pin region is also different but that is only due to the difference in design of the piston.
True. But doesn't the F6 engine in the FG have better pistons??
Research says yes. Heavier and with reduced compression so Ford could run more boost. Great for 98. Not really better for E85, we're you want a bit more comp.
Nizpro do a special higher comp Cosworth piston specially for E85 built engines.
That's what we have in the BF F6. That car is going to be mental on E85.
I had a rattle sound on a 6 speed XR 6 N/A I was working on last week. Would happen for a few seconds at about 1300rpm. Once higher it would disappear. After finding a minor amount of oil in the coolant header tank ( slight white sludge at the top) we have concluded the box has milkshaked and the noise is the converter trying to lockup
Dead box. To late. Car has done 153k
