When I wanted a new car I was only looking for an XR6 manual. The only manual I could find was the T so I took it for a drive, BIG mistake, SOLD on the spot but the car I drove was too much so had to do some driving around to find one I wanted and could afford. As has been said feel slow until you look at the speedo. My father in law took it for a drive and said it ain't that quick at which I replied to look at the speedo. He nearly sh!t himself!

Probably all came from Shalvey in Sydneys west. (RogerCordia area for the non locals, MASSIVE wasteland, More dead cars than goers.)

Spotted a Burnt Orange (name?) F6 outside Action motorcycles at Parramatta, Plates BCC... (Didn't see the rest. Also a white GT pulling onto the M4 at Prospect behind me, Think plates started with 'DG ####" If the owner is on here thanks, YOU basically put my heart in my mouth as I wasn't exactly hanging around and it is a spot the cops LOVE to sit for radar.

I remember watching Jeremy Clarkson testing this thing on Tog Gear at the Nardi speed bowl. He said that the tyres only last 20mins at 410Km/h, But that's ok because it will run out of gas after 14min at that speed. Damn I want one!!!

Well I have been down the south coast near Ulladulla since before Xmas and came home yesterday. Stayed at a place on the highway and saw countless XR's, quite a few F6's and GT's but was quite surprised by the near total lack of T's going around. About the only one I saw was parked across the road and was the same as mine, red BA T, tinted, std rims. Then my missus took the car to go shopping and some kids has said to his dad "Oh dad look, An XR6 TURBO" My wife stuck her head out the door and said "Yep, and its driven by a WOMAN" The look on the kids face was priceless! Was it anyone on here who went to Mogo Zoo on N Y EVE in a blue GT?

4" hole no, Pretty sad huh Exhaust note didn't know what was right and what was not. Checked the general things like the suspension, brakes, engine, diff and found quite a few things for them to fix but oh well. The car has to go back to Ford for 2 minor things in the new year so may ask about the airbox anyway.

There is no problem with the way it drives, no shudder so not ceramic, doesn't act like a switch so not brass, could do with a bit more feel at the friction point but think that may be to do with the pressure plate not the clutch plate. overall just intrigued, all performance cutches we use are just bare coloured. As for the other bits am just thinking of going to a wrecker and either sourcing a second hand stock one or trying to get a new typhoon one. Have a few contacts through work so will give them a call if I can be bothered. The exhaust is definetly going to be changed though. My 2 1/2 year old son could have done better and probably welded better as well. A$$HOLES. Will also check with our exhaust people to see if they make the straight through centre section in the new year. If you hadn't guessed I hate bodge jobs.

Another one is, everyone should know about the sugar trick, Who knows about the bleach trick. Pour half a bottle into the engine oil. Engine nearly melts it gets that hot for some reason. Don't know why. Saw this on Mythbusters.

Outside of my work for many years there was a Volvo 240(?) that would ALWAYS take up 2 spots, we asked face to face, we left notes asking him not to do this etc etc. Never got the message. We moved car across the street, we turned it around, One day we moved it into the next street! NEVER got the idea to park properly. In the end we lacked the car up and used sikaflex on all 4 tyres (more or les a full tube per tyre). It happened to be a high 30's deg day so it set quickly. Said idiot comes back to car and it REFUSES to move. ends up getting it moved by a tow truck. After all this it left 4 holes in the bitumen where we placed the sikaflex. Haven't seen him since.

Should mention that the gearbox has been out at least once due to the scratch marks on the trans tunnel

Well, took the wife's BA T to work today to give it a service before leaving on our holiday and as checking out the underside of the car I noticed a flash of purple in the bellhousing through the bleed hole on the pass side. Turns out the pressure plate is what looks to be purple anodised Can anyone tell me if this is a standard Ford one or aftermarket? Can't imagine Ford doing this as standard. Also noticed the centre muffler has been removed and the Bodgy Bros Autoshop has crudely welded in some oversize straight pipe. WHY CAN"T IDIOTS LEAVE CARS ALONE??? Probably the same idiots hole-sawed the front of the airbox and proceeded to put about a 4" hole in it. I HATE BACKYARD BASTARDS So, Where can I get a proper straight through centre section for the exhaust and roughly how much? Is it worth the trouble of sourcing and fitting an F6 airbox? Any real gains or not really enough to worry for a car that's driven pretty sedately (Remember it is the wifes car so only gets when I get it on the weekends)? Cheers for any info you guys have

I saw (possibly) the same blue F6 on the Great western HWY at Prospect last night, Had someone pulled over. Also saw a silver with orange stripes GT at doonside, A Black F6 at Arndell Park and countless T's as well today Guessing one of them had to be a member here.

I am rapt with my T but I think the sound and torque from a blown Boss would be That said neither blown boss or T mods will ever happen as the T is my wifes daily so it has enough power already Kevo, go the blown Boss, purely for difference. There are numerous worked T's around yet only a handful of worked 8's. Also the sound, (Refer to Corvette C6 video in other post)
