New cars consume a LOT more petrol because it takes a while for the engine to seal properly. Typically you'll be getting a LOT better mileage after you get it past the 12,000 - 15,000 mark

www.carsales.com.au - The one we all really love. Trust me, Dealers buy cars off you to make money. And when they're leeching the hard-working money off you from Finance (do not EVER finance!). Selling it privately will benefit you a lot more. Put the price up $2,000 then what your final price range would be, so that if anyone tries to hit you on the sweet spot, you can lower it by a grand.
