  4. Nah, Darren was actually pretty good, think there are new owners there now. It was the only post-June 06 engine around at the time, that was low k's and still sitting & running in an engine bay. I basically had them gut the bay of practically everything, with looms and pedal assemblies, and send it all to NSW.
  5. Head, lol The rocker cover was resprayed Red, one of the very first things to be done after I bought the engine. Red = subtle (& stock) Blue = dog's balls Engine originally came out of a running '07 BF Tornado Ute, 57,000 k's, bought from Darren at FTG.

Stereo Audio / Visual: Pioneer head unit, splits up front, 6x9's in rear, amp, 10" sub ...soon to be upgraded. Power: 298 rwkw @ 12 psi

Yeah, I spoke to Bruce when I was looking at going this route initially ...but he was only doing basic BA XR6T conversions at the time, and I was wanting a post-june BF conversion, which is a bit more involved wiring and tuning-wise. The wiring side of this sort of conversion is the most difficult part ...especially incorporating it into an older E-series system. I have my old EL ECU running Air Con, BEM functions, cluster temp gauge, and Tacho adaptors running my cluster Tacho & Speedo gauges ...while the BF ECU runs everything else. I also had to have custom Air Con & Power Steering lines made up. The car looks, idles, sounds, and drives just like factory ...until about 2500 rpm upwards, lol.
  13. Yep, a small piece cut out of the centre bonnet brace. K-frame also had to be cut and welded / reinforced, along with modification to the engine mounts ...the bonnet clears no problem. The goal was to have it looking factory under the bonnet ...with a few supporting mods thrown in. Still running the factory T5, through an AU bellhousing and a cushion button clutch. I only take this car out on 'spirited' drives at the weekends ...and everything is holding up just fine so far at this power level. When things do let go, my options will be a T56 6-spd, A5 gearset rebuild, or a C4 auto lol. She brings a smile to my face every time I drive her, and she flogs / scares the crap out of a fair few cars lol ...not something a lot of people would expect from a 16 yo Falcon.   14. Hmmm, apparently the site is telling me I can only make 8 more posts until 16th November ...any ideas on that one? The interior does actually look better in the flesh ...and is at least a bit better than the boring old grey combos these cars originally came out with. The Black leather seats that you see in there now came from an AU XR6, with a few modifications needed to fit them. As for the Black accents, I will be getting that toned-down a fair whack in the near future ...it's only paint, lol. The car was sent over East for most of the work, with me researching, and buying the motor and all of the parts ...obviously there are a few mods thrown into the combo, AVO cooler kit & crossovers, 3" exhaust system, 3" X-force dump pipe, 60lb injectors, Process West Bosch 040 pump & surge tank, Flapper Wastegate mod & 12 psi actuator, XCal3 tuned. Yes, it goes very nicely ...cheers mate.
  15. Hi guys, Wasn't sure exactly where to post on here.. This is my ride, a '96 EL XR6. I've owned it for nearly 7 years ...and I have recently been able to fulfil my dream combo for this car, a full Barra F6 DOHC conversion. Power is just a tad under 300 rwkw at 12 psi.   16. Hey guys, Sorry to butt in on this thread ...but is there anywhere on here that WA guys can introduce themselves / post up their rides? I'm finding this site a bit confusing. Mine is a bit of a hybrid, EL XR6 with a BF F6 motor ...so dunno where that would fit in, lol. Here's a few pics: Some pointers would definitely be appreciated! Cheers guys
