Well I was a member of the 3ltr club cos its a rb30 turbo;) actualy did some work on the bomb today put on big fmic...... talked to the local/only dyno shop up here said he has had a ba with 370kw at the wheels, gave me some ideas of what mods I should get.....quoted about 1100 for a flash and custom tune, 700odd for the flash tuner though which is a bit of a rip, thinking of gettin the data logger flasher, zorst, injectors and either a ebay cooler or the rapid plenum and cooler and pipes.... ute is starting to feel a bit better, probably just all in my head..... wheels im getting are xhp dirty dogs 20x8.5.....photoshoped em on my ute and seemed to look alrite, I was gona go some blackies but thought if im gona spend all that money chromies are the go, plus everyone has black rims....

this might sound weird, after I picked the car up from the first service "inspection" it has felt slower, and whats even weirded it feel like its slower at night then in the day....plus its like 35deg plus here in the day so would think it would run better at night altho its still 30plus at night as well...maybe im just tripping.....but seemed to go well before the service now its slow like when I first got it.....maybe I need more boost already:D

Yeah there was some circle work but that was the first nite I got it, on a private block of course...my 20s are on the way so gona take it easy once I get them.....haha yeah right.... Yeah the hard lid is a bit gay, the after market ones seem better. I hadnt really seen a ford one before if I had the choice again I would get a aftermarket one....I orignaly wanted to just get a white one and was gona get a hard lid with no spoiler, but then this craig lowdnes one was out so seemed like a better deal.....everyone calls it the taxi.... 5000ks you arnt tryin hard enough;)

so its been a week and the ute has just clocked over 3050ks, had its first inspection today. only problem was the tub/side skirt infront of the rear wheel was lose but all sweet now..... I picked the car up in brisbane and drove it back to mt isa, so that's why its done 3000ks in 7 days, I was surprised the oil and filter doesnt get changed for ages.....I droped the oil at 1000ks before the long trip home anyways. topped it out at 230 on the way up too....on a private road of course Ordered my chromies today:D the rear tyres are already down to the wear markers.... put a pod on and disconnected the bov, sounds good now but just needs an exhaust and a tune now. also got some 15% tint last week looks good now.... really brought the car with the idea to just leave it standard but that lasted about 2 days..... pretty happy with it so far....

The spolier is a bit wobbly at 100ks...cant see much out the back either but that's ok.... got about 300ks on it now:D pics were at springfield lakes..... kinda like the nice quietness, but that will get boring after no time..... cooked the clutch tonight a bit, did a big line lock and the clutch was smoking....oops stuck a bov on this arvo but didnt really make that much noise....need more boost

Hi guys Im not actualy a owner as yet, just waiting for the car to arrive at the dealer....oh the pain of waiting.... so the car is a octane craig lowndes manual xr6t.....before the car has even arrived I am already gettin the mod bug...first off I have to say I currently own a turbo r31 skyline, external wastegate big fmic 3k stally shift kit, all the gear...so the decision to buy the ute was to get a legal car that wont cost me my licence again and just enjoy a nice quickish stocker......but as if goes once you get the taste for speed you are addicted...... so im already got my eyes set on a set of verde kaos 20s(or alike), I really would like 20x10s on the back but not sure if that will still be legal(non legal means no insurance).....then on the list is the usual zorst, cooler, fuel, tune, valve springs.....will be happy with 300kw.... im not to fussed about warranty, I figure if something breaks its gona be my fault anyways and I would rather spend money to get someone better to replace it rather than just replace it with the same item..... so hopefully it will be here soon and get some pics up with my 20s:D if anyone could post up what is within the law with 20s and how much it can be lowered, that would be great..... cheers Josh

$39 990 craig lowndes ute with alarm and sports bar...bargin?...hehe guy said they couldnt do the sports bar for the price so I said nah dont worry, but he called back and apprently they can....:D no tint though:( but full tank of fuel for the long drive back to the isa from brisbane.....

First quote was $41 111 drive away for stock white ute with just a hard cover Then they said they can do $39 990 for the lowndes ute manual, in brisbane then went to the local ford dealer here in mt isa said they can match it... rang another ford place in brisbane and guy called me back with 44 000 drive away when I told him I can get one up here for 40 he said he will work out another price and call me back in 5 mins....guess he couldnt beat it cos he never rang back. im gona try get some extras out of em too, like tint, and some fuel.... 39 990 drive away isnt bad I think....(would that mean a stock one should be about $38990 drive away, lowndes is meant to be $1000 more than stock ute) not sure about what colour though, I saw a new octane ute the other day up here looked ok, but the black also looks good. Pretty lame though nuthing really special about the lowndes special besides its a good deal compared to a stocko....would have been nice with performance extras and different paint of something.... the new xr6 sedan range comes with all the extras for free is it the same with the utes? like leather seats and 6 stacker??

Yeah I have test driven a manual xr6t ute havnt been in a auto though, fully not into a auto this time I have a turbo car with a auto and a stally, so boring for the street...... plus I need the practice;) when I went for my test drive at the dealer I sucked..... sweet car though, first time I have eva been told by the car salesman give it more gas....:D

Meh autos are ok, I have a turbo auto skyline (with busted auto) so would rather next car to be manual, more fun..... its amazing how much better a deal you can get when you tell the sales man you can get the car cheaper somewhere else.....

Hey Guys Im in the process of maybe getting a xr6t, I got quoted a few prices white xr6t with just a hard cover with power bludge $41 000 drive away or xr6t craig lowndes edition for $39 990 drive away both manual.... hoping that I can get it a little cheaper considering the new Expensive Daewoo ute is out and also that is it end of model run out..... cheers Josh
