Yup just the shifter for me please (+ stubby holder to add to my ever increasing collection) -
I'll be taking my T up to Mackay in about 3 weeks to get David from Collinsville performance to tune up after my next set of mods. Should be keen to get out for a strap after that sometime!!

Soo... whats the update on this? All happening? I want to get hold of this before i get my car in for the tune in about 3 weeks! -
Mate. do a google search on this. I had a run-in with some nigerian scum myself recently. That is most definately a scam. The nigerians are attracted to high-value items on ebay, like cars and laptops and things like that. Usually what they will do is convince you they are legitimate (well, try) and then they will try and convince you they have payed you the money through some sort of ESCROW service which will apparently 'Hold' your money until you provide the company with a tracking number. Apon receiving this tracking number the service will release your money and everyones happy. Except its all fake. So you ship your car, usually after they convince you they have payed they will tell you the item is now a 'Gift' for a 'friend' of theirs in Nigeria... but of course they are not Nigerian, they are a respectable car dealer in the UK!! Blah blah blah... So yeah, personally I would screw with his mind a bit just for some revenge, but its up to you. If you want pointers I made a post about this a while ago and attached a PDF of the conversations, funny stuff.

Mate, i'll be in that! Put me down for one too :) -
Dude, You can get a full x-force system mail order and fit it yourself. Its a piece of cake if you can jack your car up high enough. I fitted mine up in a few hours. Automace can supply you one for about $1100-$1200 shipped! And you will have it in a week. I got a full system including stainless dump pipe, cat and stainless y-pipe and then mild steel twin 2 1/2" pipes back with 2 mufflers. Sounds awesome! Nice rumble on idle, doesnt drone. Whole lot cost me about $1150 shipped. That would be my recommendation. Be aware you will need a retune / other mods if you replace the dump pipe as well (probably need a new 12psi actuator etc) But if you just replace the pipes from the cat you will not need anything else. Also if you replace the cat and not the dump pipe I guess you will need an exhaust shop as they will have to weld a fitting onto your standard dump to take the new cat. If your keen give automace a call, pretty good to deal with: www.automace.com.au Hope that helps!

Hey dude! Yeah we are around. Unfortunately a lot of us are out back way, like Emerald, Blackwater and all that. I would love to go for a cruise, havent been on one yet since I got my orange beastie. Just dunno how viable it is to drive to Rocky (2hours) for a cruise... :S Also, on the note of the tuning for CQ - I'm having some difficulties myself. I need someone to port my wastegate on my turbo and then tune it up. I was hoping to get Blueboost to do it, been talking to him about it for months. Only problem with him is he works another job too and its difficult to get him to have the time all in one go to do it all. He is really only available for 1 day, so tuning and that is fine, but for anything that takes time you would need to leave your car with him for a week or so. I cant really do that when its in Mackay :S Anyone else had any ideas? I considered getting the porting done somewhere else then taking it up to him. GOt all this flash gear sitting around my house (cooler, injectors, dump and cat) and cant bloody use them! :(

Mate, I got full length stripes put on my T, same as the cobra. Its orange with gunmetal grey stripes. I rekon it looks horn as. I got mine done by a fellow down in Brissy, charged me about $250 for the lot (does a nice job too) Heres a pic, if you want more or higher res swing me a message. I think it really sets off certain colours hey!

Yeah I like the tough lumpiness. The xforce one sounds unreal on idle. Very lumpy. But it seems to be good under gas, doesnt get too loud or droney. I didnt want to make an ass of myself with a ridiculously loud exhaust. If you want something with a nice deep note, that has good mufflers that work (I.E No droning or ridiculous volume levels) I rekon any twin 2.5" system with two mufflers will work fine. The xforce system has been well worth the money

Heres one for you machinery buffs. Me and my mate Chris standing infront of his mine sites Hitachi 5500 hydraulic shovel. that's 550 tonnes baby! Almost as much power as an XR6 turbo too...
-
Mate, mine has done just over 6000 clicks now. Got the stage 1 tune done at about 4000, no dramas. But yeah, do your first service then go fer' it

Mate, I bought a full x-force system, twin 2 1/2" including highflow cat and dump. Havent had a chance to fit it all up yet as I'm not gonna be near a tuner anytime soon. However, I put the end sections on myself on the weekend, with the two mufflers, joining up to the stock y-section pipe after the cat. Figure that should be fine without a retune. Anyway, sounds unreal! Very good rumble, sounds like a v8! But not too loud and definately doesnt drone. Highly recommend it if you just after a decent sound. Also felt a bit of a boost in power, she's chirping the tyres up nicely!

I have been in this situation before, back when I had my POS toyota soarer. The only advice I can give you for when you go to court, is get hold of a lawyer and get them to provide you with a good affadavit form to fill out. Furthermore, accept the blame for what you've done, but provide good reason for why you still need your license. I booked myself in for a defensive driving course before I went to court as well, this helped me look a little better in the eyes of the judge. I ended up getting off with just a massive fine, but you need to prove your case pretty well. Learnt my lesson!

Yeah I could be keen for that. Us blokes coming from Blackwater / emerald could meet up with you guys somewhere, mayby at the Biloela turnoff on the capricorn highway. Keep us posted, but sounds like fun

As I said before, call up Automace, they can supply any of the parts you want from the kit.
-
Wow a compliment from Tab! I should probably get this thread printed and framed eh? I do need to get some decent pics of her though. Once I put the new cooler and zorst on, might take her out and find a good spot for a few decent snaps!
-
Yeah was a good price! Automace are a wholesaler, so they can do you a pretty sweet deal. Did a great job with packaging it up nice and safe too so it didnt get bashed around in the postage. Recommend them if your after a system.
-
Hey thanks mate MIght have to do that Luckily there arent a lot of taxi's out in the sticks here anyway! I put some stripes on it a few weeks ago! Rekon it brightens things up a little.
-
I had suspicions you were a bit of a squeezer before ypurv, now I know for sure
-
By the way, if you want a good price on a system, give the blokes at Automace a call. THey are a supplier, so they will give you a good price. I got the whole system for about $1100 including postage. Very reasonable. Their number is: 02 4927 6666 Or else the website is: www.automace.com.au (site is under construction)

Haha! They are creepy hey... that's kinda how it got with my scammer fellow. I just got sick of it really. Was going to go to a whole lot of effort with making up a nice cardboard laptop to send to him with some abuse, but in the end I thought "is this f*&kwit worth the time?" The answer was obviously no. So I settled on sending him a very abusive email, the highlight of which was calling him a goatfu*(er :D When I can log onto my other email addy I'll find his amusing reply. Wasnt what I had hoped for, but satisfying all the same

I bought the 3.5" dump with the seperate wastegate pipe. It depends on your goal mate. If you are after a dyno queen or drag car and you want maximum horsepower, the 4" is the way to go. If you want a streeter and you want to minimize your turbo lag, the 3.5" is a better way to go, though you wont be able to pump the same sort of top end power out of it. If you dont plan on going over about 380kw, I dont see why the 3.5" dump wouldnt be more than adequate and possibly a bit better around town. My 2c :D
