  2. Nah, those are for the old SOHC 4L, ala EA-EL. You'd notice something wrong when you only got 12 of them

  4. I was told that by the dealer as well, however when the towbar guy came out to fit it, he told me they still had to cut a slot in the removable skirt to fit the square hitch type. I'll try and remember to get a picture, it doesn't sit THAT low, it protudes probably 50mm below the skirt?

  6. Yeah it's a hayman reese, 1200kg or something I *think*. Sticks out a looooong way, but you can always remove the gooseneck when you aren't using it, and you'd never ever know it was there.

  10. I never said Ford didn't do the same thing, don't misconstrue what I said as a one-eyed Ford fans attack on GM. It was merely a comment that HSV tend to do it ALOT! Am I accidentally posting on the LSx forums or something??

  12. Bingo. I'm all for more power, I just think HSV get carried away. At the expensive of the previous models resale value, and that models owners! Who here felt sorry for VT HSV owners when the VTII got the GenIII across the range?? I know I did LOL
  13. It must suck being a HSV owner, they repeatedly get burnt by power hikes. It happens EVERY time, you think they'd see it coming by now. They don't even have the decency to do it with a model change, just with model 'updates'.
  14. A mate of a mates VE Berlina LS2 has had piston slap problems. Contrary to what Expensive Daewoo would have you believe, it wasn't eradicated after the VTII It's also alot slower then its 270kw would suggest. Hes had a GTS 3.7something ratio diff fitted, and along with the 6 speed auto it 60 foots no better then my stock F6. And it's 3 tenths and 5mph slower down the strip I was actually disappointed, thought it'd be a bit more of a challenge...
  15. I saw a 10.2 fairly early in the night, no idea on trap speed. Don't think there was a 9, weather wasn't ideal. Pic one of the other guys took.

  19. I gave the ebolamonkeyman style gag a try when I bid on and won a V1 S-Trim, he listed his location in Sydney. When I won it, I emailed the bloke, asking for a final quote on postage blah blah blah. He emails back, in characteristic poor english (warning sign one), wanting me to pay via western union (warning sign 2), spinning some bullcrap scam about him being on holiday in england, and he had the blower with him?? (three strikes and your out) I kept it going for a few weeks, trying to get him to take a photo of himself holding a sign advertising another forum I'm on, "at my lawyers request". The noodle eventually sent a pic of himself with his kids, no sign, I dunno if pics were real or not, he was a weird looking older bloke, wasn't as amusing as I thought it would be. It kind of creeped me out actually

Modding may come sooner now though LOL The 1st to 2nd shift with the ZF annoys me, and trying to launch it on boost is a pain in the arse is well. Feels like I've got 1.6L instead of a 4L trying to spool up the turbo. Can't FPV cater for people who drive like idiots? Its getting a run down the strip on the 15th of March, if it doesn't make me proud it might be edit time. Also got plans involving two 12V linear actuators and a sedan remote with the boot button for the hardtop, just got to get around to ordering the actuators I'm after.

    My New Ute

    Hey guys, thought I'd show off my new ride, and introduce myself, been lurking for awhile. BF MKII Tornado, ZF, Leather, Dual Climate. Excuse dirty pics, it rained the day I picked it up. Interesting weather to get used to it in Anyway, my names Jared, I'm 21, from the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, the username comes from my first love and project. Cobalt blue, manual, dumped and with a vortech V2SQ on its way into the engine bay. Been playing with E-Series for a while, this is definately a fair step up... Already racked up 3000kms and I've only had it 3 weeks. Plans for it are a 12" Pioneer shallowmount sub off jarcar response amp, bit of lowering, a LIDLOK or similar cause the hardtop locks sh*t me, some engine bay rice, and then try and resist modding the motor cause I've never had a driveline warranty before
