Hi Mate yeah, 04 BA XR6T 60k clock, surging when dialing off the gas buster, theres about a 3mm play in throttle position where it clears its throat and accels instead of de-cell blocked air filter / timming out? spark plugs dirty? leak in IC piping/ all of the above??? Cheers andrew

You have to open up the assemblies, first take em out ( off the car ) they crack open!. you are meant to SPRAY THEM ON THE INSIDE! not on the outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can get what you have sprayed off with metho, dont use any sand paper you will tare the plastic to shreds!!!!!!! Andrew

Depending on your boost of course, but trry to keep em nice n tight. It should sound like your ASS GETTN WHIPPED by a Lag Vegas Hooker! Short and sharp baby!!!!! "WWWWWWIIIIIiiiiiiiiRRRRRRkkkkkkkk" like a snapping noise. I ve had from 7PSI upto 19PSI through the same valve, ( it was adjustable ). The higher the PSI the louder she'll get. Ive had people on the side walk almost jump out of there skin & start baking brownies in there undies! DONT CUT THE SPRING!

HI Matty, im Smarttys bro in law, mines a 04 with 57,000k on the clock. MIne knocks.....now.........and even after warm up..... Piston slap???? 57,000k on the clock, I would be F%%$ annoyed if it was.... "its like a splinter in my mind!" always there, only when idling. any one help?

Hi mate, yeah sounds good im up for it. I have a 04 Turb's Stock ( pod filter / BOV vented ) but that's about all my budget will let me do at the moment. Im keep for a cruise to meet some others and tare up some roads. CHeers andrew 0413678006 Down south

Adam, Mate, I think you must have left your window down while you where doing your last burn out, the air must be getting thin in your cabin mate. just keep telling your self you didnt pay too much.........you might sleep better at night... Yes you are correct ... I have only done a couple of turbo engine rebuilds in my life so I might not know as much as the bloke who has to go to all the trouble of plugging in the CAPA box, ( must take years of training ) As for cash flow, your right again..... I dont live at home with mum & I aint a dealer so almost $1000 for a tune is a bit rich for the normal bloke. ( by the looks of things you got money to burn!!! ) nice burn out by the way! if you would like to prove to us all how cheap it is for a tune howz about we go halvs mate? cheers ( your average paid Aussie bloke ) Andrew

Hi, what a can of worms this has opened! LOL, My car is a 04 Stock as a rock ( no I lie ) I have jammed a POD on instead of the standard air filter & vented out the BOV to atmosphere Surely this cant take a full day & $890! I mean I thought these specialists were meant to be the leaders in there fields! ........ IE they should be able to take a stock XR6T slap it on the Rollers jam the box in, upload & start the rollers going, FLUF me DRUNK! jeabers how long does that take? ok, ok ok, I understand that there might be tweaking to do cos every car is different so another 7hrs and 35minutes??????????? or maybe they might play nicer music in the waiting room or impress you with there custom made "TEAM" sponsored work shirts. Or they might even just tell you how much more difficult and tricky it is than just plug n play. WELL GUESS WHAT? IF IT TAKES YOU THAT LONG & THAT MUCH EFFORT TO DO A 2HR TUNE IN 8HRS TRY OTHER GETTING ANOTHER JOB. but that's just my opinion. There are people out there who dont have to worry about money, who do live at home with MUM & DAD who can P*SS it up against the wall. I have a mortgage & two kids, most of these performance items & tuners do attract the younger market and I feel they do take advantage of the more gullible , unsuspecting or inexperienced car enthusists. but that's my two cents. Hi all, I have just got a quote for a CAPA box $495 ( from KPM in Adelaide ) Great Deal! I thought. Next step, get it on the dyno for a proper tune ( as the standard CAPA ones apparently arent that reliable ) I thought "hmmmmmm" if I get them to supply the box & tune at the same time I might get the tune a bit cheaper. I have been quoted for the box & tune $1390!........... This seems a bit excessive $890 for a tune? I know this is chalk & cheese but when I used to get my Pulsars dyno'd it was only a couple of hundred and a couple hrs work TOPS! for $890 bucks id want a lap dance for 2 hours while its getting done, can any one help me??????? is this the going rate these days???
