Hi guys, I think I might have an answer for you. we get brake squeal at work a lot. 90% of the time the squealing is from the pads resonating or vibrating against the metal caliper. The easiest way to fix it is buy a can of spray on anti squeal, remove the pads from the caliper and clean the back of the pads ( you will see the worn circle in the back of the pad where it has been rubbing againts the caliper). Then spray the back of the pads with the anti squeal (usually blue and very sticky). You just whack it back together and drive. Guarantee it will fix it. The water method works because you are basically lubricating between the pad and caliper which works for a period until it dries off and then its squeal time!!! Cheers
