  2. Hey Welcome to the Clan and nice selection! I.P.V (Issac Performance Vehicles) in Taupo ( at Taupo racetrack ) are good and specialise in Falcon. Could be worth the day trip to ensure a good job. Personally I would buy time, and see what people are getting before really risking the warranty mate.(As suttle as the mods from BF to FG maybe)
  3. Hey, I removed all bonnet seals and it reduced underbonnet heat alot (ECU cold even after a good run). I also have removed the heat shields from the exhaust side and replaced the bolts with Volvo truck spec - as was sick of them coming loose! I now run the largest AirHog Pod I could find but still have the snokel pointing to it though. Didn't notice any reduction in power from my Simota panel filter but maybe I'm just addicted to the awesome induction noise!!
  4. Yea Bummer, doesn't seem to be many Kiwis here Will look you up CD if I ever make it down there to Dunedin ( if theres enough fuel at the servo pumps! lol ) Plenty of matchbox turbos down there to eat
  5. Hey guys, I'm keen on this cruise thing if can get some together!!
  6. My boo boo shouldve checked the thumbnail before uploading
  7. Yea I thought I could be pushing my luck but worth the ask. Cheers Senna
  8. Hey guys, Just wondering since my old BA s silver paint has lifted and bubbled a little around the shifter (Auto) is it possible to fit a BF shifter with the nice leather boot or is the cabling etc all different??
  9. Hey Adams way worked great for me. No ding dong on my King Kong
  10. Hi Turboman, Just wondering how you got on with the cat removal? I'm wanting to remove mine also, to increase exhaust flow and hopefully throttle response, but dont want to have the custom edit done until such time I have the dosh for the next upgrade of injectors and fuel pump. I have had her CAPA Flashed running 10psi, centre muffler removed, blocked off Blow Off Valve and running a Pod filter. Shes now an animal compared to standard!! Getting Slotted DBAs fitted this weekend to help her stop after eating more clubsports!! Be nice to see some more XRT beasts around the country :banghead:
  11. Yea mine had the purple kinda anti reflective stuff on it so I just polished it out with a little Jif and it polished it up nice and yes glossy.
  12. Plan B - save more dosh for injectors/intercooler/fuel pump then 5hr drive up north for a tune. Soundn wayy tooo risky Thanks guys
  13. Hey fellow kiwis!!
  14. I got no idea how he plans to do it - he does it to trucks everyday - but I'm too nervous to damage my baby now! If anything "might" tweak up 9.5-10psi Thanks alot guys
  15. Yes diesel mechanic! lol Thanks for the advice IH8TOADS
  16. Yea I am worried about it but my mate ( the diesel mechanic ) thinks it should be fine and the computer will compensate for timing etc. Cant really afford for anything to go wrong hence my post! Maybe bumping to around 11 or 12psi max???
  17. Hey fellas, I've got an 04 BA XR6T capa flashed to 9psi (religiously running 98 octane) with airhog pod and centre muffler removed. After these mods the dam thing flies alright - but we always want that bit more! Its going in tomorrow night to my mates workshop and he plans on upping the boost manually. How far can we go without running into problems? Bigger injectors are on the cards in the future along with a bigger intercooler and prob fuel pump- but before these mods are kicked into life - how much boost can I run safely?
  18. Hey I just bought a CAPA FLash unit last week in Oz from Torque Performance in Sydney - cost me $695 with the 3 generic tunes. They are advertising a special in Ebay too. Unfortunately mine is a BAXR6T and suffers with the low ignition voltage so the plugs need re-gapping to .75-.8 - I expect the thing to fly, once I get this done as its already increased performance heaps!
