I can sympathise with you. The demand is high and there's lots of tyre kickers out and about. Show em some cash and watch their attitude change. Good luck. Don't forget to keep us in the loop on your progress and finally with some pics when she arrives.

The tint will always be legal if fitted by the dealers. I'm not sure of the leagal limit, however your dealer should be able to give you the spec on the brand they use. They usually only have one type, so if you want darker tint then do it after market. I should not void any warranty but will affect road worthiness and void insurance if above legal limit. Be aware that the rear window MUST NOT have metalised film as it affects the radio reception due to in glass antenna.

Sounds great. Auto or manual? I'm going for the auto in blueprint with the following: Leather Interior Prem Sound XR Scuff XR Carpets Tinted Windows Alarm Momo (grey) shifter. (with or without LSD and/or Traction control) Hopefully I will finally place an order next week.

This is the latest from FPV and I quote: LSD and Traction Control are both standard options on the XR6 T, this means that they can both be fitted at no cost above the base price, however they can not both be fitted together. If you chose LSD you are not able to have Traction Control and vice versa.

Beats me why they cant make em work together. Other manufacturers can get both onto one car and make it work. I just want to KNOW what I'll get when I purchase.

Just when you thought it was safe to believe all you hear/read! Today I recieved yet another email from FPV Quote: In relation to your requests I have done some further investigations. I believe that the information that Wheels magazine has given you is correct, both LSD and Traction Control are standard options on the XR6 T. In doing further investigations for you today I have found out that the information supplied to us was correct - traction control and LSD are standard, what wasn't stated at that time was that you are not able to have them fitted together. I do apologize for any confusion that this may have caused. End of Quote: So it now seems that we are back at square one with NO definative answer to the LSD/Traction control question. I'm getting a little more than here. Surely it's not too much to ask that Ford actually confirm what I will get if I shell out the best part of $50K or more in some cases!!!

Yes Yes, I know this has been done to death before and I thought it was resolved so please bare with me here. A while back I posted (in Ford forum) what I thought was the final word from FPV around the 8th October which stated that both items were standard. However, at the same time I also sent an email to Wheels mag regarding their article for that month which also stated that both were standard. Today I got a reply and I quote "Sorry it's taken a while to get an answer for you, but Ford have only today been able to clarify the situation. Here it is... Traction control is standard on XR6 Turbo LSD is an option (no cost) on XR6 Turbo If a customer elects to go for LSD, for technical reasons traction control cannot be fitted" So back to square one. I still don't know!

Acid Rush is a great colour, in fact I think Ford dont have a bad colour in their range. Of course it's a personal thing so if Acid ruch puts a smile on your dial :D then that's all that matters. Regardless of colour, you'll still be one of the luckiest and happiest fellas on the block and a proud owner of an XR6 Turbo.
