Courtney and Patterson Heideberg Acid Rush and Phantom XR utes, Blueprint and Phantom XR sedans

It's not in the showroom any longer. I think it's in the lock up out the back so you won't see it after closing. They also have a Phantom XR Ute and 2 sedans, a road registered Blueprint and a showroom Phantom. I tried taking some photos but the showroom light was all wrong. :(

I've had a change of heart, gonna buy a VY SS :lol: :lol: :lol: Not really just changing the colour FINALLY settled on Blueprint after seeing both together today in full daylight.

All the good ones are probably in the hands of profiteers by now. I'll give it a miss given the asking prices

Ford have apparently tweeked their T/C and all reviews give it the thumbs up. Also I believe it is based on a 4 sensor system rather than the 3 sensor system that previous Fords and other models utilise. I have a VT acclaim at the moment and the T/C on that is CRAP! Don't forget you can tuor T/C off if you want. Ideally I'd want both but if it's one or the other then I go for the "safety" option. As with DZ, I'm married and I want the car to be as safe as possible when the wife is behind the wheel. On you're comment about driving ability...I respectfully disagree. Wanting T/C does not in any way reflect upon one's driving skill, but may olny indicate a little more coonservative style. :D

If you tell your Dealer that, he may be prepared to peg your price rather than risk you walking off to another dealer later. I hear that many deals are being signed subject to a test drive.

I haven't heard that rumour. But given the rationale behind the turbo - constant torque across a large part of the rev range, I'd be surprised that FPV would go for a supercharger. I'd predict a twin turbo V8 if anything.

Glad you like em. Yeah me too. There are heaps of N/A XR sedans and Utes out there at least one local dealer has so many that they're leaving them out on the lot rather than in the show room. I suspect that most people are ordering optioned up cars which have to be built or waiting on a Turbo...Like me :D

I cant think of a reason why if it works on the Turbo it cant work on the V8

Mondie, not sure how long you have been lurking in this forum, but this debate has raged since the forum started. We've heard every variation possible and one of our group - LionHeart has driven a Turbo and it apparently did not have T/C. I for one would like both but have resigned myself to only getting one so I'll specify T/C on my order. If LSD is there as well when it arrives, it will be a bonus. The pity of it all is that Ford should have cleared this up once and for all ages ago

Clearly, you have considered what is most important to you. If Sat Nav puts a smile on your dial then that's great. Besides what better wrapping for it than a BA XR of any type! I'm sure you'll have LOTS of fun and turn heads while cruising about (and won't get lost either :lol: )

Just went to the specs page at www.newfalcon.com.au and the XR6T has T/C and LSD as standard options as before however the annotation stating that T/C was not available with LSD has been removed, BUT only from the Turbo This is driving me cRaZy.

All the XR range come standard with Fog lights acording to www.newfalcon.com.au. And yep the visual difference is subtle, just a badge on the drivers side of the boot, that's it I believe until you plant it and dissapear up the road :lol:

Yep, my dealer told me today that 2% effective on ALL cars delivered after Dec 31 2002. So even if you have ordered now you'll still be paying about $1000 more . I did hear that some dealers are covering the rise for some clients but that will only apply to retail I'm sure...fleet just cant get that - bummer.

Is your car a private purchase or fleet? The standard scam for fleet goes like this. Order car, promised delivery date eg. 1st week Jan. Sometime in December, retail player rocks up and dealer says I can give you a Phanton with premium brakes etc etc....hmmm spec sounds familiar....give me a deposit and you can have "this" car 1st week Jan, weeks earlier than anyone else can do. Retail player signs up. Dealer just sold your car at retail and laughs all the way to bank with an extra $5k. Dealer rings fleet client and says sorry there's a delay you'll have to wait XX weeks. Dealer reorders your car.

Not yet but expecting Feb 03, so it should be a 03 build :D Tint RRP is about $500 but if you haggle it will be less. A mate of mine is getting his tint for $275.00

The dealer should use non metalised film on rear window. you won't see the difference it's just that the non metalised film won't block out as much heat.

Now theres a reason to reconsider and go back to Blueprint.

Hmm. Ford online help told me I could choose, Red, Blue, or Grey I'll have to check that out 'cause I DONOT want Red I just rang Ford help and they advise that Red is the only colour for embossing on leather. I guess I'll be buying a jumbo marker as well :(

Nah! not my entire week end :lol: No really I was on the road a fair bit yesterday so I just dropped in as I passed! I saw a Acid Rush XR6 on a truck heading towards Knox Ford so I'll pop down there today and see if it was delivered. I'll also try and get to Vermont and see if the Turbo has arrived. Just depends on where the job sends me today
