Sorry I disagree, the ONLY window that will affect the reception is the rear window 'cause that's where the antenna is. As for the tint recommended for the rear window, dispite what you have been told, it is standard non metalic (Dyed polyester) tint usually manufactured by 3M automotive, although there are other companies that make it. It does come from the U.S (especially if its 3M). Most tints are imported anyway. It is'nt (or shouldn't be) any more expensive to buy. Some tint Co's may rip you off after filling your head with a good yarn 'cause thay can't be bothered using two films to do your car in the "best" possible way - max heat reduction. There's no such thing as "BA" tint, it's just plain old dyed polyester tint film which Ford dealers (or any reputable Tint Co) are able to source from a variety of tint suppliers. The heat reductin of non metalised tint IS lower than metalised tint. Heres some additional info: Dyed polyester (no metal) will give approximatley 40% heat reduction Dyed polyester with an aluminium base will give approximately 50% heat reduction Metal alloy based films (some with a dye) give approximately 60% heat reduction
