  3. IIRC it is only possible with premium sound which is not available in the utes...sorry.
  4. I suspect wicksy is trying to ask Ian about this project Bonnet Scoop, new bonnet scoop
  5. now things have taken a turn for the better....LOL
  6. Thanks Ian, I wanted to get some advice and hopefully get to the bottom of the (mis)information about the correct grade of oil to use Vs the grade that is being put in our babies. I still haven't confirmed what the spec of the Castrol oil my dealer put in is...... BTW. I would have thought that when in doubt the Service guys would RTFM and put whats specified in.........
  7. As some will recall there has been some debate in a couple of threads about the correct oil for the "T" The little blue book tells us that 15w40 is the correct grade, yet some are being told by their dealer that 10w30 is OK...Or worse they are just putting in the 10w30 and not saying anything to the owners. I had my 30K service a week ago and asked what oil was put in the car. I was told 10w30. I told the service person the book stated 15w40. I was told that the spec had been changed and there was a tech bulliten about it. Today I received my service report in the mail and the oil used is listed as Castrol FMX Magnatec 1030 which sounds like it is 10w30. I checked the Castrol web site and the only magnatec oil I could find is rated 10w40. Now I am realy confused and concerned that my "T" has the wrong oil in it. Anyone out there work for Castrol?? BTW I aquired a copy of the dealer service training notes 5-14 and it clearly states that:

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

My brake shudder was resolved at the 20K service and with 30K on the clock now no sign of a problem
  11. In 8 days my car will be a year old. Pity I won't be here to take her out for the big birthday drive. I'l be in frosty Minnesota USA for training...-10deg C BRR The wife will have to do that for me...  I have clocked up 30K of mostly trouble free motoring. Yes I had the brake shudder twice (seems fixed now), and I have the anoying whine in the stereo, which I am confident will be resolved one day. Have I had other problems? ...yes, but all have been quite minor and resolved first time under warranty. In all I still think it was worth buying and is a great car to own and drive.

    Advice Needed

I currently have IXUS V 2.1MP and it is FAB. I paid almost $1K for it a couple of years ago. It is great but the newer ones are better resolution and cheaper by about 40%. IMO you can't go past the canon products.
  13. I suspect the answer to that is YES.
  14. check the fine print, there are exceptions to the cap...and they may get you on a plan and change the rules later. make sure the cap extends the FULL life of the plan you sign up to
  15. If you can salary sacrefice $8.5K pre tax, depending on your income(tax bracket) it is worth about $16.3K in POST tax terms. And IIRC thea healt sector get a FBT exemption too so you are better off than most by a long margin. I dont get the exemption and pay about $17k in POST tax dollars for my lease (inc running costs) of that about $4k is to cover the FBT. Leasing a "T" getting a FBT exemption, and getting gov't pricing would be a phenominal saving IMO. A mate of mine has access to gov't pricing and could get a "T" for less than I could get a N/A I suggest you talk to a competant accountant.
  16. There's some good info starting to flow here so lets keep this on topic or I'll have to start trimming the irrelevant stuff. Remember new topic = new thread If you want to chat use PM, email, MSN, or the phone.... PLEASE.
  17. and please post results so we can learn something too.
  18. Huh? whats a flat change? Some thing to do with tyres.... BTW I have an auto......LOL
  19. so whats the difference in spec then? or just change of supplier
  20. Software?? I dont see why you would need to run specific software to make a wireless NIC work.. What make/model is it?
  21. The single BIG saving you will get from Novation is the car is GST Free since your employer gets an ionput tax credit. No one off the street can do that. Then on top of that you may get fleet discounts depending on who your employer is. BTW is this a 12mth lease?
  22. Nice review Dallas. Are the leather seats the same as the "S"? Sounds like it as I had the same impression of the seats in a "S" I had the "pleasure" to drive a while back. BTW The "T" looks much better IMO
