While in the US I saw this car advertised on the TV. Does this car look familiar?

If you mount the sitcker high on the screen where more folks can see it, rather than over the rear stop light in the parcel shelf, I believe the gain is closer to 15RWKW..... :lol: :lol:

No mate...but then I have been in the US for 2 weeks with another week to go so I have not played with the system at all. I'll try holding the 1st key down abd see if that "wakes" up the ICC. BTW - great job on the install doc :D

That means the dealer has not advised FOMOCO that they have sold your car. Once FOMOCO have confirmation of the sale the pics will be availaable. I had to wait a few weeks to get mine after seeing the same message.

Thanks Charliewool, yep they are the pics I took at the FPV open day and the camera does not do the car or the colour justice. This is truly one awsome car. SA Tickford has done a superb job to take a car that is already a head turner and customise/modify it and only improve it. :D

I did not specify PULP and I had no probs purchasing it. I did however request a BP card in addition to the Caltex since BP is more widely available than Caltex. On the price front, I got my first monthly statement and I'm paying 88 - 91 cents per litre (base on a pump price 0f 98 - 104 cents per litre) for ULP so PULP will still be below $1 per litre.

My car gave a bit of a chug/fart yesterday and had severe probs accelerating. I topped it up with about 35lt PULP and drove iyt some more. So far seems fine.... I may have gotten some dodgy fuel at the last fill. BTW. Not sure if I'm imagining it but it does seem smoother on PULP. I'll have to try a few tanks to be sure and compare the fuel usage too. especially given I got my firts lease report today and ULP is costing me 88 - 91 cents per litre :D Oh the benefits of a novated lease! SO PULP will be below $1.00

The Utes DO NOT get Premium sound. They can be optioned with Prestige sound which has a 6 stacker CD, but no colour screen and no sub woolfer.

I ordered slimline 6 character plates with VIC vertically down one side. They are 37 x 10cm (approx) and fit the pre drilled holes exactly. From the Vic Roads Web Site All 6 character plates 372mm long x 100mm high All 5 character plates 315mm long x 100mm high All 4 characters or less 250mm long x 100mm high So I assume you have ordered 4 characters or less on your plate. I suspect there are only 2 options... 1. drill new holes 2. make a holder up that is wide enough to use the existing holes and attach the plate to the holder... May I suggest that you get a strip of aluminium that is correct lenght and about 15mm wide, screw/rivet the plates to the strip and then screw the strip to the car. You could even paint the strip so it is matching and therefore less obvious.

The other day the wife takes the "T" for a while. Some time later she calls me up and asks where the forum calling cards are...apparently she ran into some bloke I was talking to a few days earlier and he wanted another callng card... We covered this romour a while back. IIRC the silver was lighter than Mercury and called "Lightening" and there was gonna be a new green similar to the GMH Hothouse Green. Cant recall the other one but I think it was a ne blue

upgrading to Premium is technically possible, after all the ICC is modular and a few scews and connectors will see it changed over. The subwoofer amp needs to be installed in the boot and the sub fitted to the rear parcel shelf. This will require a change in the LH boot liner and probably the parcel shelf as well.. Can't recall if there is a change in the line up of speakers apart from the sub woolfer though I expect that the appropriate wiring looms are in the car even if the premium sound is not installed ex factory. Oh there is the "small" consideration of COST! Probably a lot more than the $900 for factory fitted option
