hmmm...don't think this is quite accurate. I believe that the cameras etc have a specified 3kph tolerance so if you are doing 3kph over the specified limit you wont get a ticket, but if, for example you are doing 64kph in a 60kph zone you could theoretically be done for 1kph over. In Mondies case if they booked him at 106kph the actual reading was probably 109kph then the 3kph tolerance was deducted. Having said that, I am with you all the way, these SILLY speed limits and tight tolerances are NOTHING more that a tax by another means. FWIW - while in the US most folks drove at least 10MPH over the limit! I was in a car that actually passed a radar setup at over 10MPH above the limit...no reaction. It would be interesting to compare the road toll per capita between the US and Australia.
