  1. I had reason to stay at the Windsor last weekend and across the road is Parliment house. In the Forecourt area there were THREE XR6 - Mercury SIlver, Silhouette, and Blueprint. There was only 1 SS there. It seemed odd that 3 out of 10 spaces had the XR parked in it. They were all N/A though........
  2. how much are they?
  3. The first dealer I ordered thru had 28th Feb, followed a week or so AFTER I ordered with a late April, or maybe even May/June delivery. Needless to say I changed dealers and the first date was 30 Jan, then revised to 19th Feb. I picked up the car on the 19th Feb :D
  4. IMO this is a great move by GMH. I had a VT Accalim wagon and if the SS wagon had been about when I was looking I probably would have taken it without looking further. After the major reason I didnt like the VY was the rear end of the sedan. The "old" rear of the VT is just fine An XR6T wagon would be a FAB idea :D as long as the suspension was decent. A rework of the rear would be nice though, but not mandatory.
  5. Its been a while. did you sort it out XR6T BEAR??
  6. mine looks droopy too. Has anyone had it fixed by the dealer or sorted out a home remedy?

    Road Trip No2

not on that sucker....too bloody heavy...  BTW nice pics, did the missus take 'em. Did you drench her on the way past?
  8. are you talking about the OMG the window just fogged up in oh lets see...about 0.5 seconds Happens to me sometimes in the morning when the car is cold
  9. turn what off
  10. FWIW here are some other threads in the forum about leasing Leasing Your Xr6 Turbo, an option to consider Notaved Leasing, For those of you who have one.... The Easter Bunny Arrives Early!
  11. just got my lease plan statement: Feb - 15.46l/100km Mar - 15.03l/100km April - 12.06l/100km (mainly hwy driving) stats by tank worst 17.91lt/100km best 11.56lt/100km Avg - 14.02l/100km BTW the best part is the cost of fuel for April lowest 77.64c/lt - PULP highest 86.27c/lt - ULP
  12. so it learns from my driving style...it obviously can BS like me too   . I have 7200km on the odo and about 72hrs on the clock so that makes an average of 100km/hr....I wish The best part is I have never reset trip B meter and it now reads 2.5km HIGHER than the odo
  13. over 7000km on the odo and no signs of wear at all
  14. Thankfully I already own a "T" and will never have to worry about buying that car on the second hand market. IMO -
  15. I'm having visions of fellas all 'round Australia outside on their knees with a torch about now....
  16. No idea...perhaps this fella just fitted the XR8 exhaust tip. heres one of your pics that I have edited so that it is clear what I mean. The red arrow indicates the baffle I am talking about and the blue line is where the baffle ended on the one I saw today
  17. Man and I thought I took way too many pics of my car and it's bits...  Thanks Cam for the pics. Yours is exactly like mine and I got mine on Feb 19th.
  18. Today I was putting a forum calling card on an XR6T and I noticed the outlet of the exhaust is different to mine.... My exhaust is oval shaped (well sort of...you know what I mean) and if you look closely there is a baffle inside that is cut back so it is not really visable. This one had the same shaped outlet but the baffle was all the way to the end so there was an obvious line in the outlet cutting it in half vertically...like the XR8 IIRC. I forgot to look at the rego date but the plates were very new issue so I suspect it is post march. Has anyone else noticed this difference? Could the change be that they are using the same rear muffler/tail pipe on the XR6T and XR8??
  19. ok I'm there but need to know costs up front so I know how much to schmooze the wife. BTW I'm in the same area...have we passed each other recently...
  20. not this black duck..this day is for fun........  seriously, I invited the wife and she said NO!
  21. Does anyone out there know how much data the trip computer stores. What is the average speed/ fuel consumption worked out on? It cannot be based on total fuel/time/Km's travelled 'cause I have not reset it at all and have about 60hrs on the timer and an averag speed of 45km/hr which multiplied out does not equal even close to my total km's. 60 x 45 = 2700 and I have over 6000km on the clock.
  22. I used a demo version of audio conversion wizard to convert MP3 to wav for CD MP3 to WAV converter
  23. The wiring is probably there but there are 4 sensors for T/C - ABS combo and only 3 for the non T/C cars. I'm sure you could retro fit it but the cost...who knows. IMO. It isn't an option in the BA series 1 to give the turbo some extra features above N/A and probably also to make it a "safe" and powerful car. Don't be surprised if it becomes an option or even standard in later series.
  24. I'll be there....I live out east but my plan is to meet at the Western ring road...means I gotta drive a bit further :D I'm happy to be a contact on the day but would prefer not to post my number here. If you are going PM me and I'll give you number to reach me in the car on the day.
  25. 1 - poor effort 2 - Why? Sedan owners get 2. Check with your dealer 3 - poor effort 4 - Same for the sedans 5 - I think there is a technical reason for this 6 - Is there NO centre stop light? I thought there was an ADR covering this 7 - It's not premium sound, it's prestige which means you get a 6 stacker and that's about all. 8 - Yeah agree, the Ford Ute reverse light is a bit pi$$ poor IMO
