  1. wally at westpoint is looking into the availability/feasability of fitting the Ghia setup...I all comes down to cost now. The other option is to get some technical data on the current setup and see if I can mod it to suit my needs/wants.
  2. Wife and I both have a licence. I had a Honda CBR600 (1999) and sold it to buy the wife a car when she had our first rugrat. The Wife had a Honda CB250 (2000) which we just recently sold to pay for paving. How sad is that.... :(

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

    8000km and NO sign :D
  4. Why not PM or email Djelibeybi. I'm sure he still has it and will sentd it to you again.
  5. I have read it and there is nothing to indicate it is only on the Ghia's..or did I miss something? BTW. I'm damn sure that when I was first researching the car on the web, the auot lights on/off feature was available on the XR6T as a selected option on the price and configure form.
  6. Still married...  I learned years ago not to TELL the wife anything. As for leaving the lights on...I can understand how it happened, 2 screaming kids, a pram in the boot...etc. No wonder she forgot. I was hoping this little jigger would be worth the $140 and would save a flat battery. Nah, that would be sensible. after all it is "intergrated to the ecectronics" so I'm sure it would be easy enough to do. Oh well $140.00 for a relay and a piece of wire...I could have done it myself for far less and probably had the dash lights come on too, and have a bypass switch so I could disable it if required :(

    Bulk Buying

I have...and I was impressed. Not the OMG WTF feeling I am used to in the VT.

    Bulk Buying

8000km and NO problems. I believe that "only a small number" of rotors are affected by the problem some members are experiencing. Ford are apparently working on it. IMO - I'd wait a while before spending YOUR money. Let Ford spend theirs for now and hopefully they will find a permenant fix for you soon.
  10. Thanks I will re read the manual and see where I may have gone wrong. This is from the Ford web site: So I guess I got what I paid for even if it wasn't what I expected. :( :(
  11. I have the audible alarm and the lights donot switch off in the ON mode when I kill the engine That sucks...so wasted $140.00 and I WILL remove it. GUess I should have asked more questiond before I ordered it....oh well life goes ON
  12. I had the auto lights on module (or whatever) fitted today 'cause the wife left the lights ON and flattened the battery. Thought that it may save some future grief. It has me a bit confused though. It is not like the Auto lights on that is factory fitted and is detailed in the hand book. As far as I can tell so far, now the lights always come ON when the car is started if the lights are in the OFF position, however, the dash is not illuminated unless you turn the light switch to park (and then only the parkers are on) or ON. It also seems that if you turn the lights ON normally they stay on when you turn the car OFF...which is exactly what I did not want... Being used to the VT I expected this "upgrade" to act the same way I.e. turn the lights OFF when the ignition was turned off. I have not worked out if you can actually turn the lights off any more without having to turn the ignition OFF Anyone else had this done and/or know what it is supposed to do? BTW They seem to have reset the trip computer as well.....not sure why they would need to do that
  13. I have merged the post formerly known as "Alarm Bem, DOES NOT CHIRP" with this one
  14. I'll take a packet....
  15. WOW...I was charged $100.00 fitted today....I guess Westpoint know how to treat a customer
  16. so don't wash the car......  looking forward to meeting everyone rain, hail, or shine, it will be a GREAT day B)
  17. now theres a clue.....I have switched to the new BP PULP (98) but some times use the 95 or the ULP when the price is at the high end of the cycle. I can't remember if it happened after a fill of ULP I do remember though, that the car seemed to ping a bit when I left the servo on last fill of ULP. It didnt last long though. Perhaps the ECU cannot easily (quickly) compensate for the change of fuel under some circumstances.....like a fuel line full of 98 octane, then a load of 91 octane 'cause I filled up on the cheap.
  18. yeah it had a funny idle/stall problem for a while very early on but not now.....no upgrade to my solenoids that I know of unless they did it at 3000k service and forgot to mention it
  19. A mate of mine took my "T" for a spin the other nite. Having already driven an XR8 his comments were: The XR8 sound nice and has lots of grunt, but for fast take off and thrill of driving the "T" wins hands down.

    Cat Paw Prints

At a guess - The little muddy marks made by a cat on the bonnet of a warm XR6T......  BTW I believe that if you sprinkle fine white pepper on the bonnet, the cats will stay off after a few days 'cause they always sniff before they settle down and end up sneezing which they don't like. You gotta put up with cat snott on the car for a while though....wheres the shotty. I found out the hard way that scaring them or using water is a bad idea 'cause they put out the claws when scared and scratch the duco as they take off in a hurry :( But then again perhaps I'm way off mark here and your question is about something entirely different...
  21. Does anyone else have problems with the alarm not disarming when you open the boot without deactivating the alarm? Most times BUT NOT ALWAYS, if I press the boot release without unlocking the doors first, the alarm beeps twice and when I open the boot the alarm is triggered. The anoying thing is that SOMETIMES it beeps three times and the alarm is not triggered
  22. Every now and then my car wont start first time. It was quite embarrassing the other day while my work mates were looking on I had to crank the car 3 times before it fired up Anyone else had this?
  23. good o cant wait to see your post...
  24. Hmmm must be the way you drive it.......NO problems here :D
  25. now there is a GREAT idea, some promo shot of 13plus XR6's on the cruise day. :D Perhaps Lionheart could do a ring around
