Nah the cars going as good now as it did 3 years ago when I got it tuned. I've just never noticed this til now so thought it was a new problem. I've seen it glowing red after hard driving just not a casual trip down the road. I'll get the filter done in a week or 2 just for insurance. Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated( I can sleep better now )lol

Thanks for the reply. Can't get my hands on a temp gun. I've only noticed it on the last 3 or 4 trips at night(been over the last two weeks). it just looks normal during the day. If I had blocked lines would the turbo last that long? and I've just order one of those earl inline filters for the turbo

Hey guys sorry to dig up an old thread, I've just noticed my turbo is slightly glowing red after a 30min very casual drive with no boost, and I'm a little worried its not normal(Maybe no water or oil). I've seen mine glowing red under hard driving conditions and understand that, but thought they wouldn't do it under normal driving conditions( No boost) Just looking for some advice to make me sleep better at night..... My father in-law passed away last sunday. Secondry melonomia. first surgery was cutting tumor out of lymphnodes. then had surgery to remove brain tumours. 2 surgerys 3 months apart. they then stopped operating cause it had regrown in his brain(very quickly) and new tumors in his lungs and shoulders. After battling this for almost 4 years, he passed away peacefully last sunday at 10 am. This is My f*ck YOU CANCER!!

Has etm still got a website you can buy from? And what are these kits worth from him?

Thanks Judd. That was my thought, but my tuner keeps telling me that it should log a "tps" code, and doesn't wanna replace it unless it does. did yours? And how much did it cost ya? I might just replace it and see what happens. Cheers

Hey guys have a long running problem even my tuner has run out of ideas. Car is a BA mk11. valve springs, monza, fuel pump. custom tuned 10psi. Basically the problem is very inconsistent. it will happen 3 times one month and nothing the next. It will rev up to 3 or 4000rpm on cold start up, engine light come on and stall. Sometimes just cruising on the highway it will breakdown if I try to overtake. If I back off or changes gears the cars good again. Been doing it for over 12 months. Idle seems to be affected also, hunts quite a bit at lights and when idleing. Most times it logs coilpack codes or sometimes "running rich" codes. Coils packs were replaced 12months ago and have been retested recently. Sparkplugs changed. TB cleaned several times. My ideas are maybe "tps" or idle motor, but that's just taking a stab in the dark. Hope some one has got some ideas? Cheers Pete

My moneys on fuel filter or pump. Had something very similar, although mines a manual.

Hey guys hope someone can help me here. I just replaced the oil sensor on the sandwhich plate(for my guages) because it was melted. There was no thread tape on the old one so I didn't put any on the new one. Now its leaking a bit of oil. Is there a special type of thread tape or sealant that I use? Many Thanks Pete

I had my rear bar repainted awhile back cause some one hit it. The paint started to crack and peel off. The panel beater said it was from rocks hitting the back of the bar, but shouldn't happen that easy. So he resprayed it for nothing. Now 6 months on its happening again. Not sure how much sanding went on the first or second time, but I'll be going back again and see what happens?

mine does it to same model car. Been doing it for ages. Its really funny sometimes won't happen for weeks then twice in one trip. Been back to tuner several times to no avail. So be intreseted if ya find a solution.

On the oil pressure sender at the back of the guage there is 3 wires Red, white and black. Which is the earth white or black? And does anyone know what the CCA is of the ford factory battery? Thanks.
