faults in coils will not code unless its in the primary circuit. most coil faults r with the secondry circuit which has no electrical connection to the ecu! guarenteed it will be the coils. did he replace with second hand ones cause that could still be the prob! if he put new ones in then disregard this!

faulty boost sensor in the ubp is the most likely cause. overboose wont cause circuiit failure code u would get hi boost code. replace the sensor, clear code and try again

replace all 6 coil paks buddy, prob solved ebay have decent sets of six cheap as like 150 some guys here use em and recon they r decent good luck

take to ford or auto eleco needs new combo switch the wires brake up in the stalk and are unrepairable :(

dude mine did the exact same thing when one of the coil paks went. I replaced all six as it was running a bit ruff 2 and its been sweet since.

didnt u hear something getting noisy under there etm? the jumping is normal OURXR6 that's the spring doing its job as the engine speed fluxuates

disconnect battery for a start, u shouldnt be removing it with power still connected. disconnect battery and push back in then reconnect and c if ok. if so try again. as u pull it forward the plugs on the back disconnect them selfs that's prob what u saw happen. but for chris saake dont do it with the battery connected. y u removing anyway?
