Stuck on permanently till I disconnected the battery so I'm pretty sure it's not the remote that's the problem.

Lol, I'm kinda thankful about the timing of when it went off after hearing your story.

Hey all, My car horn just started going off in the middle of the night all by itself and woke everyone up within a couple of hundred metres (luckily it was a satdy night). I didn't know what was going on so I just unplugged the battery to shut it up. Fortunately for me, it when I reconnected the horn was fine. However, I've been meaning to take it to ford to get it check out but haven't had time to so every night since then I've had to disconnect the battery and reconnect in the morning. Instead of doing this, can't I just take out the fuse instead? How do I take the lid off the fuse box in the engine without dismantling evreything around it and does anybody know whats going on with my horn and know what the fix is? It's a bf mkII and it only happened once on a very cold night. Thanks guys!

Lol, I don't think I can even pull together enough for a spotters fee at the moment. I will keep these offers in mind. Think I may have to live with for a while and save for the repair/replace/rebuild unless I can convince Ford to change their mind. Meanwhile here's hoping the turbo doesn't go or do any damage before that happens. It sounds like a high spinning small kitchen appliance. Never sat in a truck before. Cheers for the advice peeps, $7k compared to 1,2 or 3 thousand weighs a whole lot diff on my mind.

Thanks for heads up Henz, by the way I've moved the topic to the Gen Vehicles Forum (didn't know I was posting in the wrong area) Yeah, that's the feeling I'm too about the consumer affairs stuff. From Glen Waverley area in Vic.

My BF Mkii T has done 80,000kms and makes a very loud whining noise when I press on the accelerator (it gets louder the harder I press). This is the second time it's happened, the first time it started making this noise was at 33,000kms and the dealership was able to replace the turbo and the sound went away. My serivce history had been perfect to this point with only the 30,0000 service happening at 30200km. Now recently the noise is back and my dealership made a claim to replace the turbo but because I was over by 2500km on my 45,000km service, Ford have denied the claim. They're saying due to the servicing not happening every 15,000km exactly, the oil might have gone off and this has damaged the bearings (which is what the dealership suspects is causing the noise). What's annoying is I can't even tell them that I know that's unlikely because I change oil and filter myself in between every official service with the proper stuff. 13 Ford doesn't want anything to do with it, the dealership have done all can apparently and the warranty guys that denied the claim I can't even get in contact with because everybody protects them from being contacted by customers. What should I do? I don't have $7k to replace a turbo.

Thanks man, I'll go check it out.

Hey Jetmani, I'm looking for a couple dunlops, where is this dealer? Is there a catch?

My little ford logo fell off my centrecap so I ended up buying new centrecaps $22 from ford, ripping the ford logo off and sticking them onto my old ones. (I had to do it this way because my rims were the bf mk2 run out dark agent ones where the centrecaps are $80 a pop and no way I was gonna pay that just to get the ford logo back.

Realistically, probably still be driving my old 91' Laser Ghia But I had to get something else, it would probably be Mondeo XR5 turbo, VW Jetta or stick an MPS engine into the Mazda 3 sedan... I l love my sedans.

It's just the update from Nov07 onwards which was the Front Bumper rockers Side skirt hightlighted Side mirrors colour Rims Back bumper lip All these hightlighted with that dark agent colour Lol Definitley not over it (not by a long shot...it's actually gonna be a really sad sale), plan is to save for a year or two get the damn house and once settled into loan go for the new T if the bank allows me. My only regret was I never got to edit/tune it...hopefully it helps resale a bit

Thanks mate, every little bit of info helps....just want to sell for a fair price as even a few thousand can make a big diff to how much I can save or not save.
-
Yeah I thought as much...the FG did hit the BF resale for six as soon it came out. I bought this on the employee discount and it dropped a fair bit from that price. I'd be spewing even more if had paid the full list price which was $50k

I'm looking to sell my Lightning Strike Nov 07 BF MKII (facelifted) Xr6t at the end of this year, it has the 18inch updated wheels and full leather + premium sound system + ZF6 Auto. By Dec I should have around 23k on the clock. How much do you think I will be looking at. It's got about 2 small non-visible scuff marks unless you look for it on the lower front bumper and feint scraping on the side of the rims...interior is in perfect condition. How much would I be looking at getting then around that time? Cheers! Reason for selling = want to save for a deposit.

Don't know if this is old news or whether I've been duped. Was scrolling through an import cars 'for sale' for cheapo 10k cars (I was thinking of downgrading from the T just for a while just to help save for a house) and it was just the usual Skyline, Supra, Supra, Silvia, Silvia when out've the blue a 2007 R35 GTR Premium Edition pops up. They've imported one to Queensland LOL...no price tag but damn it makes a lot of good cars look bad. Link is here: http://www.mjrmotorsport.com/stock.htm (Might need to scroll through a few pages of cars to find it) PS: The specification sheet is fun to look at for 0-100km/h
