  1. 1 thing I've noticed about SV6 drivers, they like to think their cars are quick enough to beat a T. I've had 3 in the last 2 weeks "try me" with the obvious results. The last SV6 I ran, I thought he hadn't bothered he was that far back. Only when I backed off and he sped past me I realised he had give it to her. Then he had the cheek to pull up beside me and warn me of an imaginary radar ahead.... :banghead:
  2. They fit perfectly on my BA Mk1. Took me and my daughter about 2 hours all up. Infact if you work it out, the brackets can only really go on 1 way and actually fit. If yours aren't fitting, try them a different way.
  3. Just had 1 installed. Will let you know in 12 months.
  4. I am having a 3" Hiflow Cat installed today. Have it booked Monday for a custom tune. Will it be OK to baby it around on the weekend or should I bite the bullet and drive the missus's Corolla around??
  5. Had mine done yesterday. Went with the Ford part as I have also been told the Fulcrum one is too rigid and can (not will) effect driveline. My last Ford one did 90,000klms so if I get that again, I'll be happy. Oh and total price was $630 inc parts and rear and front wheel alignments for good measure.
  6. Had a few small claims on a few different vehicles. Touch wood, no dramas yet...
  7. FWIW, I just got my box. Loaded up the generic 8psi just to see what it was like. Only ran the car for 5 minutes. WAY to hard on my auto. Back to factory until I got $$ for custom tune....
  8. Mate I feel for ya. I had the EXACT same problem xept mine was a stuffed wastegate that allowed boost to build to 15psi then WHAM, limp mode. But boy when it was building it was like a rocketship. So, I just can't go backwards. Got a CAPA box, big cooler, injectors, and a zuast stitting in my shed waiting for a few more $$ to fund the custom tune. Hopefully, I will get that absolutley fantastic rush back!!
  9. Hi Guys and Gals, I am new here and thought I seek others advice on my planned mods. I purchased a 03 BA XR6T 4 spd auto a few months ago for what I consider an excellent price. I have approx $3K for my mods. This is a daily driver and wifey aint happy about that figure!! :argue: Ok, so here's my list: K & N Filter F6 CAI Monza Intercooler 3in MagnaFlow Cat, removed 2nd muffler Seimens 630cc injectors CAPA box Custom Tune Question on the injectors. Are these too big for my mods?? Should I go for the 440cc Bosch green tops?? Obviously, with the price of fuel, 'd like it to be fuel efficient as possible. I know it is a subjective question, but what KW should I possibly expect?? Anyone with similar mods got a figure? I don't really plan any future mods. But saying that, possibly a full exhaust down the track. The auto has been recently rebuilt, so I'm good there. Thanks for any input Ian
