I think he was saying the thieves left the garage open. post some photos and rego number so people know what to look out for. not the same league but my landcruiser was pinched the same way 2 weeks ago but was found with no damage, good luck with your mates

I hope you didn't do it to much as its very bad for your motor!!!

I had my v8 rtv into range ford to replace the cam phasers becase of a bad ticking from the motor and when I got it back it ran like crap. I sent it back in 4 differant times for the same problem and was told each time that it was fixed. In the end I stopped driving the ute that I paid $33000 for and it just sat at home till my wife drove it last week and ran so bad it that I got roadside assist out and they told me it needed towing to ford. I demanded that it not go back to range ford and it was towed to park ford who fixed it properly and told me that a main vac line had popped off and its not covered by warranty so I'd have to pay the tow fee. Well I explaned that I have never worked on it. All service work has being done in ford dealerships and and in the end they charged me nothing. Now 1 year after getting Range ford to "fix" it, it runs just like when I first bought it. What have I learnt, NEVER TAKE A CAR BACK TO RANGE FORD FOR ANYTHING!!!

I know its a pain in the a$$ when things screw up but your out of warranty. Why should ford pay for it outside of their 3 year warranty. Its hard enough to get them to pay when is in the warranty period so outside of it I really cant see them paying, it's not like its just out, it's one and a half years out These are things to think about when you buy a older model turbo with no warranty and is the reason the price to buy is so much cheaper. I dont work for ford and have had my own battles with ford but when you dont have warranty then you have to pay

and know that with your BF, ford will know if you change your tune so warranty can be out the window instantly for driveline problems!!

Selling privately is your best bet to get good money. If you trade then you will get much less then market value.

I did this today and now it starts up and idols at 1200rpm and then drops when warm like it should. thankyou, pity its not the same for my RTV. That one will be towed to ford under warranty.

BA is about 1800kg's so you and a fat mate in the back and your good to go
-
depends where he is. No laws stopping him in WA

unfortunately the warranty ran out 1 week before the service, but I do have a extended warranty(not the ford one) so I'll try that
-
yeah that's what it did before Range ford got their hands on it. I only get 250km's from a tank of gas now, used to get 400km's

nar the Expensive Daewoo service guys suck as much as ford!! I bought a landcruiser from gibbons holden( Expensive Daewoo certified of course) and the rear axel was leaking so I asked for it to be fixed before I took possession and was told that it was all fixed. So I took it home and the axel still was leaking so I took it back again and again was told it's all fixed. Great, it now didn't leak so I drove it around for a week then put it into MY machanic for a service cause it was run a little rough and found it had NO oil in te diff!!! As soon as we put oil in it leaked again, NOT HAPPY So I went inand chucked a huge tanty in front of all their customers and I told them if it's not fixed this time it's going to Toyota at their cost and finally they fixed it. I dont think it matters if it's ford or holden, they dont care once they have your money!!!

my 05 xr6t used to start like any normal car, turn the key and it would just start and purr straight away. But since I had it serviced it now starts and revs to about 2000rpm for 3 sec's then drops to about 1200rpm. It seems to be using heaps of fuel now and I'm just curious as to how others xr6t's start. To say I'm not happy with the way Range ford have treated me in the past is a understatement, they dismiss any problems I have as "that's normal" and now my RTV is playing up (I think the tps has crapped out) so now I have 2 BA's that run like sh*t. Any way if you could let me know how your cars start it gives me some more confidence that it's not right.

Do 20 Inch Wheels Increase/decrease Performance?
coupeboy351 replied to hulk xr6t's topic in Suspension and Handling
you will have less side movement in them but they will give a much harsher ride as tyre hight is so thin theirs no bump absorbion, also damage to them from running over crap on the road is more likely. -
how much fuel ya got in her when it happens, if your under a 1/4 tank they dont feed enough fuel on boost
