It has hit close to home here.. I am an army recruit instructor here in wagga.. and one of my recruits approached me tonight saying that he saw on the news his ex girlfriend had died in a car accident.. and guess what.. it is the one this thread is about.. The poor bloke is cut up about it.. I cant say too much about it cause he didnt really talk to me but it is a shame to see.. I dont know if putting restrictions on vehicles will help.. people will find a way around anything.. either that or risk it...... What they need to do is maybe introduce something like they have in the USA with drivers ed in school and prolly even a higher standard of driving test required.. anyhoo that is my 2 cents worth Pedro AUIII XR8 with nothin extra YET !!!!!

A newly wed couple return to their hotel room on their wedding night.. The bride goes to have a shower thinking she is about to get some lovin.. When she returns from the show the man stands up and declares he is goin to the bar for a drink and walks out.. The wife is a little upset with this but cant do anything about it and waits for him to come home. when he gets home he is totally drunk and decides to go to bed. Just a quick one on value of BA6's. I was at the ford dealer in Belconnen on friday looking to trade in my AUII xr8 and they only offered me 24k trade.. I was dumbfounded.. it has the rebel body kit. 35000k.s is a 2002 model and all I would get was 24k.. the dealer then went on to say that prices are dropping.. even the ba standard xr6s they only pay 30k on trade-ins and the turbos about 35k.. so go figure.. maybe the dealer was trying to rip me I dont know.. but that is ridiculous.. sorry bout the rant bit at the end there.. but it is kinda on topic.. isnt it ??

I know that technically I dont qualify for this post cause I drive an AuIII Xr8 BUT I had just moved to wagga wagga and driving through the main street and some guy pulled next to me checking the car out.. his girlfriend in the passenger seat leans out and says nice car... Then strangely enough her boyfriend sped off... Also get a lot of guys looking at me as I drive around... I guess the note of the 8 turns heads pedro

Im due to get some new rear feet on my 8 soon (about 2000k's ago) so im interested in this thread as well.. I was gonna go for the falkens.. but after reading this page I might give em a miss..dont think ill go for the pirelli's .. but the michelins sound good.. tks for the info guys pedro

Awww damn.. :o I was tossing up buying one of these a couple of months ago. but decided I wanted an xr8.. so I bought a 12month old xr8.. After reading everyones posts I kinda regret it.. guess ill just have wait and try get a series 2.

Guys I have an AUII XR8 with the Rebel body kit but I want to get a new front spoiler for it.. ( I recently scrapped it a bit) I want one with the driving lights in it. anyone got any suggestions for me.. web sites or whatever.. of a place that will install paint and attach the lights for me tks pedro
