Nah I spent 7 years in toowoomba and got overdosed on the carnival all that time. I was based at Cabarlah and we used to march in it... so luckily this year I left the friday before it started /phew pedro

I recently had to do trip from Wagga to Toowoomba, We decided to take a few days and go via sydney and up the pacific.. Well while driving through sydney (I think it was around North Parra) I was stopped at a set of lights when this nice blue XR8 pulled up next to me.. It wasnt till after he had taken off that I saw the Number plate, something like GOFORD, anyhoo my other half was suitably impressed with the sound of it. Then on the Gateway motorway in brissie there was a nice white with blue stripes GT falcon. Had an FPV number plate (dont know if he posts here or not), I have tried to find out about FPV themed qld plates but couldnt find anything, if anyone knows anything about em let me know pls. Then on the way home in Coonabarrabran an xr went past me with the plates KWICK6 (I think it might have been SA plates) I tried to catch him but I was caught behind a truck bugger it. I stopped in Dubbo overnight and what did I see outside my Hotel.. But the FPV merchandising truck and a second FPV truck with the plate of LOWNDES6.. after a chat to the drivers I found out it was really craig lowndes but a car simulator (ooohhh how I want a go on that) they were on their way up to bundaberg or somewhere like that for a promotion and then back down to Bathurst. Finally I got blown away here in wagga by an nice XR8 with the plates DAVES8.. sounds nice and went very well Well that is my story.. I know its not overly exciting but I just thought id share with yas.. cause I knowyou are all caring sharing kinda peoples... Got some photos of dubbo I will post when I get home.. Pedro

Ok .. it has finally arrived.. A happy healthy little female bundle of joy.. She came into the world at 08:53 on friday morning 6 Aug.. Weighed 7 Pds and is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.. If anyone is worthy to ride in my 8.. she certainly is.. hopefully she will be allowed to come on some cruises eventually... I Hope.. Finally got it working on my main PC.. works like a charm now.. no lag at all.. I tried the multiplayer mode.. (thank god there is a no cd crack already) and it is ok.. unless you want more than 4 people to play..that is the max for DOOM 3 multiplayer... Gone are the good ole quake 3 style fragfest. oh well.. Pedro

I just got it today.. put it on my main PC and after 5 minutes it shutdown.. What the.. well reset PC.. try again , same thing.. uninstall, re-install try again.. same thing.... Try on second PC.. works like a dream (actually almost had to change my jocks a couple of times) It gives a warning to make sure you have the latest video drivers so that is my last resort.... My main PC is P4 2.8 Ghz 1GB RAM ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 vid card and a couple of little extras.. so im hoping that it is just the drivers.. or im buggered ... Pedro..

Im thinking ill buy Doom III but im really waiting for Halflife 2.. that is gonna rock I'm more of a MMORPG person myself.. am playing Star wars galaxies and I did play Everquest... but I dont mind the odd FPS now and then.. Pedro

Good topic.. I was gonna ask .. errrr I think it was DR Z .. about Budo.. cause I did budo in brisbane for about 3 years.. was a combination of judo, ju-jitsu and karate.. I went in the qld titles for it and won one section.. came second in another section.. but nothing of note.. Pedro

The only prob with the EL vents that I can see is ( and correct me if im wrong) but they are just for show.. I had an EL XR6 and the vents didnt go through the bonnet... they were there for looks.. I couldnt see any other reason for em.. Maybe its different on XR8's or maybe they could be changed to actually go through the bonnet.. I dont know Pedro Any job worth doing is worth watching someone else do.

I have done a couple.. with mixed successes.. However I use clone DVD to rip it.. then I take the largest file in the folder (which is going to be the movie) then I use dvd shrink to shrink em down to the size I want and burn em onto a dvd.. pedro
