  1. You let someone else drive your car
  2. +1 for T1R's. Great tyre. They feel a bit "squirmy" when new but they are very sticky in a straight line. Very quite, good wet weather grip, no noticeable tram lining, decent mileage for softer tyre. I've just done about 25000km on mine with 370rwkw and I'm about to get new ones. With the tread just about gone, they are only just starting to get a little noisy at lower speeds and show slight tram lining. My previous Falken FK452's where better in corners and had a more precise steering feel but the 452's showed a fair bit of tram lining when starting to wear and they weren't that good at holding the power. The difference in straight line grip between the two is like chalk and cheese
  3. What do you want a surge tank for? If your circuit racing, yeah. Or if you can't keep your fuel tank level above 1/2ish when at drags, yes. But apart from that, you don't need it. An in-tank Walbro will supply enough fuel for what you want.
  4. It's called head-in-arse syndrome. And it's spreading.
  5. Spiko, it's from Plazmaman but they use PWR core AFAIK. RIPGMH, the journey is certainly a big part of it but reaching those goals is what will make the journey all that more sweeeeeeeeet. 600rwkw should be relatively achievable. But I'm guessing 750rwkw is going to be in a whole other realm.
  6. Some pics taken via my phone camera of Plazmaman's new 1800hp I/C and 32mm radiator. Thick 100mm core and it still only weighs about 7kg. Can't wait to see how well it performs.
  7. I am a little sus on those ebay "genuines". There is no way that they can be legit for that price. The dealer buy price is more than that. So I'd imagine that they are either copies or something else. I know that if you bring them in from OS, you can get them printed or packaged anyway you want. FYI. I can get genuine Ford genuine coils for A LOT less than $450. And they come with a 2 year Ford warranty. Fitting them is 30 minutes work.
  8. If you need coils, PM me. I get a very good price on genuine Ford units from Ford.
  9. Thanks fellas. I'm hangin' to get the donk built and begin tuning. Like when you've done a workout not long before you go to bed and you've drunk 2 litres of water but didn't stay up long enough to let the Franklin flow. So you wake up and there's 25,0000,000 megalitres ready to be released. That kind of hangin'. Spiro me no take photos! I haven't seen these in the flesh yet. Have to get the inlet made up first then the three parts will come home. We'll be using 6 inch piping over the 5.5inch inlet and crab-shelling it to get the radius. It's a big pipe!
  10. OK time for an update. Manifold and dump finished by Snort and they look marvelous. Some pics showing the twin 40mm Synapse w/g setup: Solid lifters needed tweaking so in the new-year, that will be happening. Second and final casting of bellhousing done and I'll get that once Dellow reopen. RVO can start the auto trans conversion now. If we can't get the factory shifter to work nicely, I like the B&M Console Quicksilver. Would be a nice touch anyway just to remind me (and others) that it's not stock Got me a new Plazmaman 1800hp I/C and 32mm alloy radiator to handle the extra heat. Got me some billet mains caps so the bottome end needs to go back and get re-machined as it was machined for factory caps. Injectors are going to be upgraded to the new Injector Dynamics 2200cc jobs as I've decided I want an E85 tune. So in the new year when businesses are quite, we'll be able to get a move on in the build department. The new year will be time to get serious. BTW, did I mention I'm running out of money. Ahhh, the joys of singledom
  11. If money is an issue, grab some Spool rods. They'll do the job and they'll be $250 cheaper than Argo's. Build has reached a couple of small milestones and I've spent a few more K! I'll do an update here. I did small update over there last week.
  12. Woops - double post.
  13. Heaps. They are rated at 250hp so 1500hp. And they'll cop a bit more I reckon. Using them in my build. I think there are a couple of big bangers using them. Very strong rod.
  14. Spotted THRU5T parked near the 5 Star Gym on my way in. Do you work out?
  15. Mate you can have the gas rods for postage if you're going to use them. The others cost! Let me know
  16. They are different. Give RVO in Dandenong (Dave) or Bayswater autos a call.
  17. Hey Loz. I have some used gas rods (same as stronger rods from 06/06 engines onwards) if you want them. They've got about 83,000km on them. They came out of a taxi gas motor so they've had a relatively easy life compared to a turbo or modified turbo engine. I also have some brand new Argo rods and Mahle Powerpak pistons. PM me if you are interested.
  18. Oops. I think I need a little more sleep before I post. It was 24ish. And that was a retune with a 2700 rpm converter.
  19. I'll back all that up. XForce is great value for money. I'm running split dump, 3.5 inch system making 370rwkw on 17psi through stock BF bottom end (post 06/06). I've had the zorst for 40,000 + km. A few fitment issues but great bang for buck. Bolted on I picked up 18rwkw and 1 psi. Tuned we picked up 54 rwkw on same boost but I suspect some of that was also in the new coil packs fitted at same time.
  20. Give Brad at Atomic a call. BTW, I've heard rumours of a 700hp N/A getting around. Anyone know where/who that is?
  21. I've been driving my boxes like that for years. I drive my rebuilt BTR like that and it still shifts and feels as crisp as day 1. It may wear down hard parts a little more but it's fun
  22. I like the flat rims. They're a bit more "steely" - a bit "tougher" I reckon.
  23. Here you go mate. Had to disable multiprocessor support in Photoshop to get it working. used the smal image which was a much better angle. They look very nice I reckon.
  24. I don't know what's happening today but Photoshop is crashing is bum off when I use the magic wand tool. I've tried it multiple times and it keeps crashing? Sorry mate.
  25. Na big is fine. It's the angle that will make it harder to get looking good. I'll give it a go...
