  6. G'day, My previous car was a BF2 XR6T with BMC Air Filter, F6 CAI and 10PSI tune. It pulled 256rwkw and was equipped with a 6spd ZF Auto. I'm currently driving a 6spd manual FG XR6T and while it is heaps more fun, the BF hoses all over it in a straight line. I'm at least half a second behind. Probably needs a driver mod though. On the track, I have lapped quicker in the FG around Barbagallo raceway than the modified BF. Manual vs Manual, my money is on the FG winning more consistently, but it would be pretty even. Put your car up against a ZF6 equipped FG XR6T, and my money is on the FG all night long. There is plenty of evidence of mid 12 second stock standard FG XR6T's (with the ZF6); put your gonads on the line (literally) and see if you can beat mid 12's. If you cant, you have your answer.
  7. an fg what do you recon?? im looking later this year any comments

  8. George and I have the same LPG setup (more and less) and get the same economy (280-310km's per tank). But lets put this into perspective; your fuel usage is a little higher than average, so it stands to reason your LPG usage is too. Lets continue to put this into perspective; it costs you $80+ to go 440-450km on petrol but $50 to go 420km (210km x 2 tanks) on LPG!!! that's a pretty massive saving!!! I personally think there might be something not quite right with your setup, but your savings are still definitely there. If you fill up once (ok twice now lol) a week then you are saving $1500 a year! that's REAL money! YOUR money! It's the inconvenience here that I think is annoying you. When I got mine installed, my first few tanks were only giving me about 200km but once I 'drained' the tanks a few times the vapour ECU started to better gauge how much I could get etc. Seeing as it's been a few months, how is it going now?
  9. A few examples of B series F6 getting into the 12's stock here. Not done as often and doesn't seem to be as easily repeatable as the G6eT based on the amount of people getting into the 12's now with them: Australian Ford Forums - Quickest Stock F6 Agree with most sentiments here, stock for stock the G6eT will eat up a BF F6 off the line; the F6 *might* claw it back over distance but by then the 1/4 mile would be over. On the track, I would favour the F6 for its superior suspension and brake setup etc. In saying that, I would gladly own either car (preferably at the same time :D )
  10. Speaking of which... http://www.fpvtickfordclubwa.com.au/forums...ic=3968&hl=
  11. mercuryturbo, try an FPV Tickford Owners club forum too for info. We have quite a few in the WA club and I'm sure the people would be happy to answer questions. Good luck with the search; the only AU I would ever own. T
  12. Damn low 12's on tune only?? I need to learn how to drive!
  13. Wow I can't believe I found a thread on this topic not locked...about 5 over on AFF that are all locked. So after reading 50 pages of this stuff across various forums the only sentiment I can think of is that SCT are messed up. Its frustrating that people like 03XR6T get banned from AFF because he doesn't want to get on the "lets congratulate SCT for coming to the party" bandwagon. Yep lets sweep it under the rug and make SCT the good guys in all of this. BULL. I have been using a SNIPER for well over a year now and from what I have read and spoken to my tuner about, the SNIPER is superior to SCT with the exception of SNIPER playing catch up to program against all variants of the Falcon ECU. My dad now stores his tunes for his Turbo on my SNIPER, savings us $$$. Initially there was no tune for his car available so Barry sent away for it and SNIPER built a tune and sent it over to Barry @ BPT in short order. Keep your options available, there is more than just SCT out there and like Toyota they have been relying on a "reliability" name built up over years. Well that name is now MUD! Phew...glad there was still a thread open where I could rant
