After leaving my ute at local ford dealer ALL OF today to get leaking turbo bolts tightened( as I had a bad leak with huge loss of power) Told me all was well. All wasn't well. went home did soapy water test on flanged joint and found leaking profusely. I GIVE UP. Had re tune booked at C&V for tomorow morning, now it will be re-tune + do the job properly . I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. Anyway , feel better now I got that off my chest.

Hi guys, Been browsing for a while and picking up a lot of useful ideas and tips. Finally worked out how to register ( wouldn't accept hotmail account) I own a 05 MK 11 BA T Ute. and up to recentlly have been pretty satisfied with the performance - CAPA + Custom tune + typhoon lower intake . Bug bit and thought I would go for a bit more power and went to Castle Hill Exhausts to get a s/s/hi flow catco cat then off to C&V who fitted siemens injectors and stronger valve springs then re-tuned. Unfortunately they could only get it up to 255 rwkw , Con thought that turbo gasket was broken which could cause it to be underpowered so I went home , removed heat shields let motor cool right down, restart motor and sprayed soapy water around flanged joint and sure enough- leaking. will get it sorted monday then give C&V a call to book her in for another attempt at squeezing a bit more power out. Realistically I thought that with these mods that I might be getting around 270 to 280 rwkw. Probably dont want to much more as it is only 4 speed auto. Anyway good to be finally on board. Cheers.
