  1. Yeah, I agree with everyone else - the lower back pain is the worst! I've only got a mild case of it and its bad enough. I'll tweak it and it will buggered for a couple of days and I will struggle to get around, then it goes away. Numerous moto and downhill bike stacks have contributed to that one. I reckon a good dose of gravel rash is also real painful! I came off my DH bike at just on 60km/h one day as I crossed a patch of tarmac. The font wheel hit the lip of the tar as I came off the dirt and I went off the side of the bike. Took pretty much all the skin off one side of my body. From my right knee up to my waist, then up my back to my shoulder and all my right arm and a bit of my face. Just shredded my clothes and then my skin. Digging the bits of gravel out and putting anesthetic on is not fun and it stings for weeks! Got scars all over me from damn bikes!! But I luv em....
  2. As the guys have said - it is all done with video editing. They don't flip one image (like the XR badge) they essentially mirror image the video itself. If you watched that video in a mirror, it would look normal. That guys arm IS his left arm, but because you are looking at it from a mirrored perspective it looks like his right arm. If that makes any sense. There are quite a few clues in the vid - the badges around the wrong way, the number plate reading right-to-left the sad nav and subtitles reading right-to-left - etc, etc. See that image is flipped around? That's what they mean. Its the entire image, not just a photoshop of the badge itself. Hope that makes it a little clearer.
  3. Looks like one for the kids.... Let us know how she goes.
  4. Thanks xr_v. They only got two shots of my car and neither was particularly exciting. Oh well... There is quite a few shots of your car however and I spotted most of the other guys in there too. The speed limit was a bit of a joke. Like those two barriers on the straight with the 80km/h signs on them. I don't think I saw one single person obey them.
  5. Oh, if you could have a look for me that would be really great! Thanks mate! Would love to see if they caught any action shots from on the track.
  6. Good weekend hey lads. I saw most of you guys out there. Didn't see dat04l at all, but now I realise why! Bad luck mate. Had a few good cruising sessions - except lining up on Sat arvo for close to two hours in that heat was starting to wear a bit thin! Did anyone buy that CD of photos they were selling out there? Every time I went to see if they got any shots of my car there was a stack of people there looking.
  7. Nice work 72! Love it! "I'd love to kick you in the face, break your legs and throw you from a train...."
  8. Yep, entrant #527 here. I'll be leaving God's country early Friday morning so I should be at the Creek around 9.
  9. Musician - Ben Lee. I would back over him with my 4X4 if I ever saw him in the street.
  10. I think the mods have move the post into that section if they deem it appropriate for "Victorians" as such. Just start one in "Off Topic" and ask the mods to move it!
  11. hehehe! Yeah, that's it. I probably ruined it for everyone else! Optus still might be paying my bill off! Your little 7 grand effort should put a dent in the rest of my bill!
  12. The only bad thing about the iPhone is that you need to use iTunes to interface with it - which sucks! Interesting story there HD! I have a little one of my own in similar circumstances... Mine has a better outcome but. Before I start, I am with Optus, and the do indeed suck. This story was my little “stick it to the man” kind of justice for Optus’ crappyness over the years! Before I went over to the UK I brought a phone off Optus with pre-paid credit and the intention of using the credit and then chucking it when it ran out and buying one in the uk from a local carrier. I used most of the Optus credit before I even left Aus and when I got to the UK I thought I would use the rest. First day I was there I called the folks back home and chatted for a while expecting the call to drop out fairly quickly as the credit would soon run out. Anyway, I spoke for a fair while and it didn’t drop out so I hung up thinking I had more credit than I first thought. A few days later, I tried again. Spoke for ages and it never dropped out. I thought to myself, there is no way I could have possibly had enough credit to last this long as I only had like $30 worth to start with!!! I continued calling Aus every few days and after a couple of weeks I went over to Europe and to my surprise the phone picked up the signal from the local carriers and continued to work! I was handing my phone around to all my mates whenever they wanted and we were calling Australia and talking for as long as we liked! We would get blind and ring people back home! This went on for about a month and then one day I went to a new country and it just stopped working and never worked again. Sad day for all! I got a virgin card from then on. I never got a bill or anything because it was pre-paid credit to start with, but I would have loved to have known how much of a bill we actually clocked up!!! There would have had to have been some red faces over at Optus when they finally realised!
  13. I have to put it out there and say "ego" is the best colour Ford ever released! I like my "velocity" but if were to buy a new one... ego - FTW.... Nice choice Zap.
  14. Ahhhh.... I wondered where the sensor was.... Also. Seems kind of silly that the CC would worry what temp it is outside. If you set it on 29 degrees in the middle of summer, it should heat it to 29. It shouldn't take stupidity into account. Also again. Mine is always out too but only by 2-3 degrees... But surely it is destined to fail anyway. I don't see how you can get an accurate (exact) reading on a moving vehicle. There are too many factors in play.
  15. Shyte. Can't believe I haven't seen this thread before... Mine is sitting on 13.8 around town and it’s a daily driver. I can get to 9 something on the hwy! geez.... I'm 24 going on 90...
  16. Watched "Rise Of The Footsoldier" yesterday. It's an ULTRA violent soccer hooligan/essex gangster movie. Heaps more violent than "Green St Hooligans" if anyone has seen that. It's based on a true story of the "Essex boys & ICF" in the early 80's - 90's. If you're not into, gangsters, bashings, torture, drugs, naked chicks, and millions of people getting shot in the face - I wouldn't watch it. But, like me, if you like all those things in a movie, its freakin great! And its not one of those wanky "American" movies either. This one has decent actors, with a decent script and heaps of 'real' action. A boys movie however.... I wouldn't get it if you want a night in with the missus...
  17. LOL @ having anthing to do with Apple! Apple <-- That was your first mistake! I'm still not sure why iPod's are so popular? Considering iTunes is the biggest bucket of shyte, software program anyone ever produced and the iPod itself isn't much better!
  18. hmm, well I broke that exact bit - and had a look in the workshop manual and it said that it was the PCV valve. I asked for one at Fruad and that's what they gave me - so assume it's correct? Could be wrong I guess.... The other end of that pipe goes into the rocker cover.....?!?!
  19. Its officially the PCV fitting. (Positive crankcase ventilation). I busted it a while back also. Can't remember what fraud charged me for it. It is a bitch to get the threaded bit out also. If you use those "reverse pliers" (ie - the ones that push out when you squeeze them, rather than inwards, I forgot their real name) You can stick them in, squeeze them real hard and twist......
  20. Stage 1 Flash....?? Hope you're not talking about the Ford Flash 1 becuase they went down the shyter this week!!
  21. Thought I might test out my new photobucket account by uploading some shots of my car, since there aren't any up here
