I have a 2003 BA XR6T and my diff has failed. I have found a diff from an 2005 BF XR6T and was just wondering if anyone knows if it will fit straight in or if there is work that will need to be done. It has all the same options LSD, IRS etc just not sure if it will go straight in. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Brendan

A bit. It was doing it mainly when I slowed down between 100km/h and about 50km/h.

He is just rebuilding it.

Took the car to a mechanic today and he thinks that a tooth snapped off a gear inside the diff. He said it would be about 1200 to 1300 to repair. Does this sound like a good price as I have no idea.

Might be a bit of a tough one to explain but I will give it a go. I have an 03 BA T which has been custom tuned. The car had been running ok until today. I was on the highway doing about 110 Km/h when I heard a loud bang from the back of the car. At first I thought something had fallen off. But the car kept running ok. When I took the exit about 1 to 2 km later and slowed the car a loud shudering or popping noise came from the back of the car. When I put my foot back down it went away. As soon as I slowed it was back again. I stopped and had a look underneath but could not find anything obviously leaking or hanging down. The car continued to do this the whole way home. Im going to take it to a mechanic as soon as I get a chance but was wondering if anyone might have an idea of what could be causing it. Thanks

I changed the fuel filter today and still no good. I only had the plugs changed by my tuner about 12 months ago so I am not sure if it would be them. How long should I get out of a set of plugs. Any more ideas would be appreciated.

Iam going to take the car to my mechanic soon but thought I would see if anyone could help point me in the right direction and maybe save me some coin along the way. In the last few months I have been having some strange issues with the car that all started about the same time and I have no idea what could be causing them. It does not do it all the time but normally at least once on a trip. When I first take off the car surges and has at times stalled. When at a nice cruising speed and not under a heavy load it sometimes feels as if the fuel is being cut or similar and the car looses all power for a split second and then comes good again. For the rest of the time it feels as if it looses powere on and off and surges. It sounds minor but it is really anoying when it does it all the time. Any help would be greatley appreciated.

Not sure what is it but my car has been doing it for over twelve months. It is hard to diagnose because by the time I get to the mechanic it has stopped and will not do it again properly until the car is cooled down.

Had not thought of that. Might have to take a look. I think I will want something a bit more secure though. Thanks

***BUMP*** I have still had no luck with this issue. I have since been to a ford dealer and the bloke said he knew what I was talking about but he did not know where I could get one. There was even one on a G6E Turbo in the service department. It is only a small thing but my number plate is only just secured on the rear and continues to flap around. Any help would be appreciated. I always see them on other cars but have had no luck anywhere. I have even tried the local Expensive Daewoo dealer and nothing. I cant be going crazy, I know they exist.

Hey guys, I recently broke my indicator arm and had to replace the indicator control unit thing behind the steering wheel. I rang Fraud who told me that the original one that I had was about 300 dollars to replace and if I wanted one with auto headlights it was going to be around 400 dollars. I rang around a few dealers and managed to pick up one with auto headlights for 140 dollars which is not bad considering. I have installed it an all is working well except for the auto headlights which does not do anything. My question is is there a fuse, wire, plug or something that has to be put in before this feature will work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brendan

Yeah I have tried autobarn and all of that. May have to try the ford dealer. I have no doubt the guy will just look at me with that blank look. lol

Hey guys I need some help. I have five figure personalised number plates but they dont fit on the boot of the car as the holes in the boot are fixed and I dont want to drill more holes. At the moment I have a strip of metal holdng the rear plate on but I have seen some people with a black plastic number plate backing. I want to know where I can get one if any of you know what I am talking about. Or if any of you have any suggestions as to how I could attach them give me a yell. Thanks Brendan

I suppose she is not really that special but she is my pride and joy (when she is clean of course lol) I had to drop from my 20" wheels down to thses 18's (much cheaper for tyres) and I dont reckon it looks to bad.
