  1. 300rwKw is getting seemingly easier to reach these days; with a cooler your laughing!.. Have a look around the sponsors threads; anyone will get you what you want. Just depends what you like, $$ etc
  2. - Shorter shocks/ sports shocks for those of us that have only lowered our cars/utes with springs. - Decent slotted rotors? and pads? - sway bars ( been mentioned a few times)
  3. Yeh that's wat I thought... decisions decisions!! At the moment I only want 300rwKw.. but how long can a BA handle that kind of power?? that's y I'd like the reliability of the stronger internals... If I were to build it myself what would I need? rough prices?
  4. Hi guys Sorry to hi-jack the thread. But like you, I have been toying with the idea of selling my T; however I drive a BA MK2 turbo ute late 04 models with the 6 speed manual, hard lid, lowered, CAI. Im thinking BFmk2 so that when I put my goodies on it I dont have to worry so much above breaking internals etc.. Would anybody have an idea of what it would be worth? I've found a BF2 turbo for just over $31000; good price? it has 33xxx on it already though.. thoughts/ opinons welcome
  5. Nah doesn't slip in 4th at WOT... Only get the vibration when clutch is pushed in when driving medium/hard.. No grinding noise/ feeling, dont get the 'chattering of metal' when clutch is fully in..
  6. Before anyone says anything, yes thi is another clutch thread... hehe Anyway, searched around and couldnt find exactly what I was after. I drive a BAMKII turbo ute with the T56. My problem: Noticed lately that sometimes when I clutch in to change gears, as the clutch reaches towards bottom(close to floor) I feel a vibration come through the pedal. Has anyone experiened something like this?? Any idea what the problem could be? Solutions?? The ute is standard but running a generic 10psi tune.
  7. Nice result! What mods have you done to reach that??
  8. I agree with what was said ^^^^.. Run what you will be using normally. BP seems to be popular with lots of drivers; I use it also
  9. be good to hear how it goes... its like driving a yacht atm in my ute haha
  10. haha that's nothing.... I came out of an almighty LANCER!! LOL that big 1.5L.. its looked the goods, stereo and that's it!! Loving my T ute
  11. I've had my T ute lowered for a while now and have noticed pretty bad wear on the front tyres (inner) due to the negative camber. Will a wheel alignment/ toe in/out fix this or should I invest in a camber kit as well? What is everyone else doing? done?

    Ba Mk2

oh ok... sound interesting.. I will be going full exhaust and a sponsor cooler (plus the other little bits; injectors CAI etc).. so hopefully spending a little extra will give me a safer and more reliable power level; not chasing the max out of the mods

    Ba Mk2

Hi all Have been reading about everyones success with modding their T and the big power that they're pulling. My question, what is a safe power level to run my BA Mk2 at before internals are considered not reliable. This is my daily driver, so I will sacrifice power for reliability etc. I understand this is an open ended question, but a rough idea pls guys... I'm chasing close tp 300RWkW. Any and all help welcome
  14. Just trial fitted my SS inductions dual gauge holder and I wasn't too impressed with the finish. Doesn't sit flush with rest of dash or centre dash above the air con vents. Curious to know what everyone's using? good/bad?
  15. Purchasing gauges pretty soon and was wondering the difference between mechanical vs electric oil pressure gauges?? Pro's and cons??
  16. does anybody have any knowledge on the brand Peformance Springs??
  17. I know a great deal of the drivers on this forum use nizpro valve springs, but what other option are out there?? Has anybody or is anybody using the 'Performance Springs' brand at all?? does anybody know of a part number of their valve springs to suit an XR6T upgrade? Any and all opinions welcome.
  18. very nice pipework!
  19. cheers guys
  20. that's mega high!!! im 21 own a turbo ute (ba mk2) and am paying under $1000.. pretty good compared to WRX insurance
  21. very nice... some people really know how to do things without going over the top
  22. whoa!...dont know what to think of this; some people/parents are &%*&ed.. but I can also see a funny side to it; not that the childs life is a joke
  23. thanks again guys... very quick replies and all relevant! the more reliable 280 or so I can get the better, so if it means spending a lil extra then so be it.. my understanding for power out of these cars is basically: to let it breathe/flow as easy as possible and keep it as cool as possible.. sound about right?
  24. Sorry SennaT, that was meant for the two posts before yours.. thanks heaps guys..>> replies have come so quick!
  25. any particular brand for each item? injectors? Valve springs? cat size??
