  1. I agree...> I wanted those seats too but couldnt find any T's with them!! Nice lookin ride there bud. Whats the plans with mods?
  2. hehe yeah mods will be down the track a little when its a little closer to warranty expiring, although I do have a few parts already bought for the old ute that I didnt end up modifying... So the goal is to make 300+ club eventually, nothing too extreme though. Parts that I already have: bosch 968's Rapid cooler, Hot + cold piping autometer gauges Parts to buy: CAI (probly F6 one) Exhaust (still tryin to sell the old APS ute one I've got) Fuel Pump Flash tuner 2 probly I think these will see my goal easy enough. If anyones got any other points/advice etc I'm all ears! As for photo's, I will take a few when time weather permits. All I can say for now is that I'm more happy than I thought I would be with the ZF auto, was still unsure on the way to buy it; but generally totally stoked with the car.
  3. its got premium sound, dual climate, 18" alloys and the almighty ZF!! It clicked over 35000kms on the way home last night. I'm Very happy with it
  4. Hi guys Well after 3 and a bit months without a car I finally bought myself a Boinic BF2 turbo!! Got it home bout 30 mins ago after a nice long drive back from the Sunny coast... So will hopefully be able to get on a cruise with some of you when the next one comes up.. oh and on a side note...>> That 50K bargain thread is hilarious! got stuck reading it before I posted..
  5. hahaha thanks guys
  6. As it seems, I STILL haven't found myself a car.. Prices on BF2 turbo's dont seem to be any cheaper than some early typhoons. This has got me thinking that maybe a BA typhoon is on the cards.. As I will modify it I thought the typhoon would be a better base to start right? Or is there something that's not so great withearly typhoons?
  7. jees.. whats the go lately, a few people are doing BIG builds!! what financial crisis haha.. Good luck with it all, I look forward to reading about it just like other builds that are currently going on!
  8. I thought exactly the same thing when I read the first post. Its the only one I've seen with vents
  9. yeah I agree. If you can afford the BF or even BF2 it would be a better buy for the above mentioned reasons (gearbox, brakes). Steer clear of the early 4 speed auto's if you intend on modifying, having never owned one I can only go by what I read and according to the guys on here its a ticking time-bomb with anything higher than standard output. So 6 speed auto is the go, can also handle mods and power increases. Manuals although clunky can handle big power with the addition of a new clutch. these were available from BA mk2 onwards..
  10. its a pretty tight fit bud, I installed one on my old ute. Easier with a second pair of hands to drill while ones holds, but give it a go. I'm assuming its the front part you hard trouble getting in?? if so.. Pull apart the Growler airbox so you've got the access to the headlight and wires etc from the big opening, leave the airfilter etc off. When you're trying to line it up, put the left side in first (fit it around the back of the light bulb holder first). From here, you'll have to manouvre it to get the slots to line up with where you've got to drill. Its a little fiddly but you'll get what I mean when you start doin it. Also make sure to stuff all the wires etc into the opening of the airbox to keep it all out the way as its very tight. that should get the front part of it in, that's the harder part... after, you'll just have to more the airbox round to fit the other half on. This will probly be hard-up against the wheel arch, dont worry > it does fit.
  11. I've noticed that some of the sponsors offer powder coated coolers. Just wondering if a black intercooler would be less efficient than a normal silver (polished metal) one? Being that black attracts and hold heat easier than other colours etc... Does any body know?
  12. Looks like some people are getting good deals. Whats everyones opinions on this... http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...;PriceMax=35000 What would be a good price if I were able to negotiate?
  13. I think that's what I'll do, getting to keen. I will end up buying something for the sake of buying rather than really getting what I want. I will have to keep an eye out in the near future
  14. turns out he may not sell it now... However, I have found another.. An06 BF september build full optioned, premium interior( stereo, seats),dual zone climate, sunroof... the lot.. person selling is asking $35000. whats reasonable for a car like that? 47000kms
  15. my thoughts exactly.. nice car though, I've seen it in person.
  16. Sorry guys I know theres a few threads like this. However, I need opinions. Basically would you pay $29000 for a 07 BF II turbo (manual) with 47000kms with: premium sound sports leather interior dual climate control 19" wheels
  17. Was thinking randomly the other day and... Is it just me or should ford make a coupe' (similar to monaro) but with the xr6t/typhoon engine, running gear etc in it. I personally think that would be a great car! What's everyone elses opinions?
  18. man that's harsh, only a month ago prices were much better. I cant believe how the economy depression is affecting everything so hard and fast. Mid Last month I got rid of my BA mk2 turbo ute, pretty much stock ( CAI, and lowered) for $23500. Looks like I got lucky! To the original post, Good luck trying to sell your car mate, if your will to sit around for a while then ask a bit more. 56K kms is nothing for a 5 yr old car.
  19. BA mk2's had the 6 speed manual.. I had one Back to your question.. as mentioned earlier, u will need a clutch as the standard one is no good for much more than standard power. Probly goin to need valve springs as well. The 2nd air intake ( typhoon one). Either gut the cat or get a high flow one ( at least 3.5"). Remove the centre muffler as well, this will change the note of the car as well as help with flow. Injectors, flash box and also an intercooler(2nd hand possibly). That would see you around 5K, depending on where u go etc..
  20. EZ2CME, how do you find driving you car with 311rwkw? I understand its the zf auto.. any problems??
  21. whoa! that's huge on a street car, congratulations... How does it feel to drive?
  22. just a quick comparison... say on a highway, 80-100km/hr, which would pull away quicker; the auto or the manual??
  23. Hi everyone Before anyone says anything, I'm not trying to start an auto Vs. manual debate as theres been a few on here already. Rather, I would like to hear from people who have driven BOTH auto(6) and manual(6) gearbox's, not just little 10 min test drives but decent length. I ask for your opinions because I am stuck with the choice of the two as I'm looking to buy a BF2 very soon. I used to drive a 6 speed manual and have only have a quick drive of the 6 auto which wasn't enough to get a good feel for it. I will be looking to modify to low 300rwKw if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance guys/girls
  24. My first car was a 1999 CE Lancer (mags stereo etc) Then BA mk2 xr6T ute (sold a few weeks ago)... Now I'm searching for a BF2 turbo...
  25. 10-40 is good stuff. Was all I used in my ute
