  2. I rang the RTA (NSW) and the person I got told me that they couldn't give out the information about the damage. Who/where can I go for this info? Also, can anyone confirm whether or not I'd need to have the car re-inspected here in QLD in order to transfer rego? (it has already been inspected in NSW and is currently registered).
  3. no, not looking at a black phoon. Still playing with the idea of downsizing from the falcon to maybe a focus.
  4. some good tips/ info there.. I've asked the owner of the car I was looking at what happened to it exactly and they were a bit vague (although they were upfront about it being a repairable write off in the first place). All they said was that it wasn't in an accident, but the bumper needed replacing/ respraying and the plates were taken off the car, which is why they needed it to be inspected for re-registration. leaves a little to the imagination and not too much confidence to buy, unless it was a bit cheaper (it is cheaper than others like it on the market but not enough to persuade me yet).
  5. Has anybody had dealings with repairable write off's? Is it something to steer clear of? If the car has been repaired, inspected and has been registered and back on road for a few months will it be able to be transferred to another state for registration (I.e NSW to QLD)? or will another inpsection need to be done in QLD? Finally, are repairable write-offs more than likely just cars with serious cosmetic damage and able to be fixed or can they be worse (nothing structural in my understanding)?
  6. where's that dealer?? Sounds like he's giving out good deals!! haha
  7. sounds like some people get decent deals, while some others dont. Private sale at $27K doesn't sound bad, but the whole idea of waiting around for a serious buyer isn't quite what I want to do. I was happy to take a bit of a loss with trade-in as its quick and easy n would have a car to drive away in, but not quite that much of a loss. I will hold on to the turbo for a while, unless I get any offers or interested people! cheers for your input guys
  8. Hi all Lately I have been playin with the idea of trading my BF2 turbo sedan for something smaller and easier on the pocket (running, maintenance, insurance etc). However, to my shock I was given a trade-in value of 22-23K. Is that all these cars are worth? (BF2 sedan, ZF auto, dual climate, Premium sound, Tint, factory 18's). Its barely 3 years old.. forgot to add, its just clicked over 60K. Looks as though I may keep it yet!
  9. Sorry to hi-jack your thread guys, its still relevant though. To the two members enquiring about valve springs; I have a set (brand new, still in box) made by Performance Springs that I bought a while ago for my BA2, however I ended up selling it and buying a BF2. In short, if your interested in purchasing, PM me and we'll go from there
  10. How long have u had them? Coz they will sag a little after a couple months if u've just had them installed. If not, as mentiond above, compressing them could work..
  11. sorry to hi-jack the thread.. but im in the same boat but earlier this year (or so) I heard that they were phasing out the series 1 of the flash tuners. Is that right or am I mis-informed?
  12. Is that a bad thing? Or is it overpriced for a mild steel system? Apparently if I didnt want that dump pipe he could do the regular Xforce one for the same price... Which is the better option? Pro's and con's?
  13. yep you guys got it in one.. Advance is the brand of the dump; I emailed the seller and he confirmed. The rest of teh system is Xforce
  14. Hi guys Found this exhaust and am pretty interested in it. Here Would it be an overkill if im chasing 320rwKw?? I drive a BF2 T if that matters? I'm also chasing an exhaust which is as quiet as possible. Any other exhaust set-up suggestions would be great to hear Thanks in advance

    Powaaa

upgraded cat wont do much for sound, its more about flow...
  16. congrats on that result! on a side note, I have a set of Performance Springs valve springs if your interested, new and un-opened package. Have initially bought for my BA, but sold it.. PM if your interested
  17. Great idea this thread and well written so far! Should be the first place 'newbies' come..
  18. these guys have pretty much said it bud... Just have a look through the forum at the stories about rebuilds etc.. All are 4 spd auto or 5 spd manual. Your lucky as all the ground work with mods etc and failures have been found out already with the BA/BF's. look through the sub-forums on what interests you and you will find a lot of stories/ information/ do's / donts..
  19. that is very impressive with minimal mods, congrats on the power!!
  20. I will never stop being amazed at what people do to cars and seemingly act like its normal... or even looks good! hahahaha peple crack me up
  21. those are big numbers for standard! congrats!
  22. Here we go guys.. A few photo's I managed to get this morning!
  23. it turns out I went with the BF2. Cheaper, less Kms, younger and the ZF auto. Very pleased with my purchase. I started a new thread in the Genereal car chat which I'll be tryin to upload photos to soon
