  3. No I haven't spoken with Herrod. Reason I use a tuner, is they have always serviced my car. Simply because of the amount of issues I've had with various service centres (I.e 3-days to "try" and find why the car has an air rushing noise when above 60km/h or maybe it was when another dealer forgot to tighhten the oil feed line to the turbo & almost burnt my car to the ground when it dripped onto the exhaust.......I shoudln't laugh when I write that, but it's either LOL or cry)
  4. "supposedly" the software technician (tuner using an outside party) has the Ford IDS tool. I'm just feeling lost with it all & I'm about to pull the car out & have it shipped to a Ford Service Centre.

  8. Update: I have been infomred that using the Ford ids software, that the cause is still being pouinted at the TCM. 2 x TCM with different product numbers have been used & these have failed to link with the car. A 3rd is being send today for testing........
  9. I used the spare key (and supplied it along with the key I use always)....... I guess I'm getting to the point of, do I send it to a Ford Service Centre ? I've got a "feeling" that when the battery died; for some reason when the replacement went in, the car has thought its being stolen & locked down.
  10. It bizzare I know, however, even these guys are scratching there heads (which makes me very nervous). Everone on various forums, industry (tuners etc) keep saying "it won't be the Mechatronics Unit, it has something to do with voltage and/or programming (bcm etc)"
  11. Yes a new battery was put in and same issue. Then the car was towed to Tunehouse....... Further to above, here is a pic of the current fault codes (which they can't erase)
  12. 2 weeks prior to the issue, I was driving into the harbour tunnel & the stated: ABS Fault (wasn't on the brake) Radio turned off and back on car didnt stall or anything all was good till it wouldnt start. Tunehouse have never seen this on a non-tuned car (it had lost all of its memory) Car is at Tunehouse now & they are waiting for a new mechatronics unit to come up, as they/electrician need to check the vaultage. just seems very very weird & I know how much a Mechatronics Unit can cost !! forgot: prior to this occuring, the car had been sitting for about an hour while I cleaned & vacuumed the interior. iPod was connected & running and it cut out the audio twice

I am the proud owner of a 2008 Ford FG XR6 Turbo (ZF 6-speed auto), which I purchased from Ford in mid-2009. 2-weeks ago the car failed to start (fan started & car clicked), stating Airbag Fault + ABS Fault + Comms Fault. It was thought to be a battery issue & the car was placed on charge. After approximately 30 minutes, the key was turned again and this time only the fan started (no clicking). The battery was changed and no change occurred. It was towed to a known tuner (who has always serviced my car) & so far all indicators have shown the fault may be occuring due to a failed Mechatronics unit...... Anyone seen/heard/experienced this ??

  15. Just purchased & installed the Turbosmart Kompact Dual port. Took all of 2min to detatch old & conect new. Being an Auto, the only time you hear it is when I build up boost & back off. Makes both *tu tu tu* & *pshhh* noise LMFAO !

  17. 34mm is too large for an FG. I believe the stock is 25mm (correct me if I am wrong?)
  18. What is required to change from the Stock BOV to another ? Looking at either a Turbosmart or Plazmaman.
  19. I have an FG....... Would there be an advantage (one v other) 25mm or 34mm ? I know the 25mm is a plug and run (no additional components), and I "think" the 34mm will require the piping kit as well ?

  25. I have a XT6 trubo (Auto) and have had the stalling issue for 2-years. Happenes about once a month, when I pull up at a set of lights. car drops revs & stalls (no shudder). kinda creepy how quietly it does it LOL It has been back to 3 different ford dealers, who ALL "upgrade" the software and the problem goes away HOWEVER, the car then idles at 1,300 rpm, so back it goes, they un-do & I'm back with the annoyance of stalls. 2-months to go before warranty ends, then its to TUNEHOUSE !!!!
