  8. I reckon the wheel arches are too wide around the sides, that's what I think makes it a little odd. All I think it needs is the V8 bonnet bulge and the GT side skirts - then look out
  9. Hi all, Just stumbled across this computerised pic of a BA chopped. I just looove that back end... looks very similar to the aston martin vanquish IMO anyway Got it off this site which has a few others, although not quite as good: http://www.trueblueford.com/BA_drawings.html
  10. I used to think the most reliable way would be to use the hand-helds... that is until I was caught. There were about four cars behind me doing the same speed as me, and the cop woman pulls me over and hand signals the other cars behind to slow down. I was charged $150 for doing 65 in a 50 zone... which I can understand as being fair, but not when all the others get away with the exact same thing. And why didn't I see her in the fluro yellow jacket you ask? because she was hiding in the damn bus shelter and parked the car in the carpark at the church which was pretty full. grrr
  11. Just an update... I decided to go for the F6 CAI, heck if its good enough for a stock 270kw engine its good enough for my n/a 6. Cost $103 inc. tax for the XR6T upper intake and the XR8 lower headlight snorkel, installation was simple. I have noticed a difference already, suprisingly more lower down in the revs, maybe because of less vacuum in the intake tube? The reason I chose this was because the air rammed in through the lower bar would just build pressure up under the headlight anyway, and I wouldn't have to worry about the dirt, water, etc. Also, for $100 you can't really go wrong
  12. Ummm... WOW :banghead: All the effort you put into that has paid off
  13. Yeah... I took mine to the car wash at BP after falling for their 'now more gentle on your car' (rap. dont believe it... scratches over everything but the glass. same with car lovers but a little better. thank god for Meguiars scratch X. either way nothing beats a hand wash with some rich sud car shampoo
  14. Hi, I got the Maxxis MA-Z1's just the other day in exactly the same profile. I paid $255 each fitted and balanced. my opinion is that they are great for the price, but don't know how long they last yet. they're actually quite good in the wet I find, but that could just be me movin up from 215's. The pamphlet says that they are "maximum wearing". not sure if it means it wears out quickly or maximises tyre life. theyre quiet and you've gotta love the rim protection feature
  15. I understand the whole insurance thing where you wouldn't worry about it because they will cover it. but it might be a write-off, in which case all the hard work spent on it goes down the drain, you just get a normal replacement which wont have everything. And then you don't know what they do in it. Perhaps a syringe in the drivers seat cushion, bodily fluids you dont wanna know in strange places - I guess it would be the thought of not knowing whats happened in it
