Hi have been working away on my toy G6e Turbo motor into my BA Ute quite modified will list when I get a chance. Was at the tuners yesterday had to re gap plugs to .7 but we are still experiencing a hesitation if you will at 5000rpm or there abouts. We are changing to copper plugs this afternoon to try and combat this.My Question is could it be coils they have done 130 000 kms was told that FG coils are the best but can not find any info on what type once modified.Injectors valve springs intercooler hot side intake massive dump into 4 inch xforce running Ba manifolds and turbo Garrett 3582 etc running at max 16psi.It cuts but then you can go through it Tuner researching today just wondered if anyone here has experienced this or possibly has some insight. Thanks in advance.

Hi all after quite an absence I got the bug and have bought another ute. A few issues but it had done 180k so no biggy.Previous owner had been broken into and had wrecked locks. So the had replaced only door locks and second key .One for door one for ignition. It wont lock either with key the remote or from in cabin.Door open chime is up on dash. Had a mate out today with scan tool and he can lock and unlock both doors from scan tool. However it says passenger side door is ajar. Fitted 2nd hand door assembly same thing have just fitted brand new ford lock assembly and no change.. Could it be the bcm ??no fault codes for bcm?? Thanks in advance

Hi there,Best purchase you will ever make had turbo then non turbo now turbo FG xr6t I'm a farrier ie shoe horses for a living on some of the worst roads in NZ.Minimum weight in my ute is 500kgs Anvil stands forge gas bottle shoes and tools averaging 11.8 unless I'm towing loaded horse float then it goes to around 13.4.Lose the 18's wont handle the weight ,found this out the hard way.Have fitted a rear swaybay from whiteline and load hogs to the rear springs. Also maxxis tyres they hold the weight at 48 and 50 psi give traction and wear well Weight equals traction see the look on the maloo drivers face as you fly pass and smoothly corner a turn which will see him fishtail for the next 200 metres. Hope this helps out and all the best

found the problem it would appear that the gravel had worn through the outer wiring casing shorting 2 wires.Ford were unable to run diagnostics because they were flat out (long weekend )but it was booked to go in tommorrow.Problem solved Thanks All

No burnouts unfortunately.Bit of dust on rear sensors do I need to take rotors off or just take sensors out and clean them.

Was Driving my ute home 2 nights ago went through some road works and my warning lights and beepers went mad abs and dsc came on and fault 2! was not braking at the time.Pulled over checked everything brakes still worked no squeals no leaks drove into Ford, they were way to busy to do any thing (long weekend)Quickly take a look at lights and master cylinder(fluid levels not moving)and tell me a sensor has probably broken in the hub.Any one got any Ideas how likely this is or what the problem could be...Brake pads are all good and all wires look to be connected.

I just traded an 08 New Zealand FG XR6 Complained to Ford at 3000km check and at every Service until 90000 one that air conditioning did not work properly .Was just lucky that when I went in aircon man happened to be there and put gauges on it .NOT Enough Gas.Yours sounds as though it may be the same.Ford had been telling me there was no problem with it.My 72 Mini didn't used to fog up as much on a cold morning. For weren't worried though..No problems with the new FGXR6T ute I got now though.

I have just returned home from having a custom tune done.Great job to 316kw 256 rwkw.A few minor hiccups changing exhaust nothing major they did tell me my trans was possibly on the way out but with trans cooler should be fine.2nd to 3rd it would flare a bit they said on full throttle so if I kept it under 3 quarters should be fine.Had the wife with me so no thrashing it.300 odd kms home half way home in 4th at around 100k an hour it starts to half shift down then up does this maybe 4 times we pull over everything ok no warning lights start off 1st 2nd then noise like dry bearing coming from trans this happenned maybe 3 or 4 times then nothing after 2nd gear getting dark so finished the trip in 2nd.Downhill it wiould go into freewheel if I didnt keep the revs up.Approx a month ago I fitted a trans cooler but didnt top up with trans oil wondering if this may be problem poss a solenoid or is it fried its my work vehicle so I need her back on the road asap.If anyone could help would be great re suggestions for diagnosing problem. Thanks
