Yeh ended up running 9.33 @ 150mph on a 275 Mt radial driven to and from the track

Yeh its a main cap girdle to tie all caps together.. The cut out is to suit the sohc engine because the oil pump is in that position.. Here's come pics of the head

A1000 would be a massive over kill.. I had a 500hp walbro feeding my surge tank and it was fine, I reckon even a standard pump would be fine -
