The mondeo is nice but unfortunately I have to spend less on a car.... I'm sure I'll find one, sooner rather then later I hope. Missus is not talking to me till then... Ernie, My guess is that you are running 3/4 throttle and the at a certain rpm the ECU is expecting either 1 WOT increase fuel supply and boost or 2 steady throttle continue steady on fuel supply. On a private road try WOT of take off and see if the problem happens. If not may need some tweaking on your tune to set WOT supply to 7/8 throttle rather the 3/4. Also have you done the solenoid clean? Ozzie

Daz, can'r fit the 2 kids, pram and picnic stuf in a facus unfortunately hence my problem. I drove the an xr6 n/a today with a zf... what a difference, that box is magic - seamless - perfect. The only thing missing was the huge surge of power, but that's life. Ozzie

Geez I love the "maximum boost of 6psi" HAHAHA that lasted long... See what regualtions do, the make people say crazy stuff to get it through the system... Could you imagine they put, Garret GT40 Turbo capable of 14psi and the Barra 240T having the potential to hit 350fwkws with 4 grand spent on it... haow that would fly with the killjoys? Ozzie

How do they propose to create an Oz version of Top Gear if a chirp at the light can warrant your car being taken of you??? I guess all testing will be done on track which is not a true test for the road environment. Ozzie

Tell me about it.. Chris don't you love it when you muck around in the traffic like that... Bad thing is it almost always happens when the missus is in the car... I launched with a CL merc yesterday poor bloke he was all show no go... Mine must have sounded pretty good spooling up as I went past him. He didn't come near me after that. I always get the urge to high beam but then I remember the the cops don't like that too much. I think we need to all spot FordXR6Turbo.com stickers on the front windows like the car clubs... or wack the hazards on for a few seconds. 1 of 5, yes I have seen her around a few times. Ozzie

I agree The White Walls in this place are making me Slip up something silly. I begining to Burn Out of ideas... I'm going to Wets myself if I continue, but I will get my Groove back soon and then eventually Stick it. That was exhausting.

Well from memory the cat actually cleans the gases released by the exhaust. Also without the cat you are omitting more deadly gases hence the bad smell. You don't want to be caught in a confined space (aka a garage) with the car running. Also as you increase the amount of fuel supplied to the engine through injector you also increase the unburnt fuel that leaves through the zorst. This could lead to flames out of the tail pipe.... no a good look with highway patrol around. Ozzie
