  1. Hi Andy, I was actuallly going through the same thought process all but 3 weeks ago... luckily the missus released the extra funds and the T come up at perfect timing. I have 2 young kids so I was about to pick the Futura, benefits are rear power windows, rear lights, rear cup holders and centre pulldown armrest, alloys and some have rear parking sensors. BAII also has side airbags. Hope this helps Ozzie
  2. Hi Paul, Mate I'm new here, where, what?? do you need a helmet?? Ozzie just read through... guess its for those north of the border... :(
  3. Hi Guys, top post, top replies, I've had my T for a week now and this is exactly the info I was after. I don't have the big bucks to spend on mods but would like to do something to make it more fuel effecient and give it a bit more balls. Tell me this is 250rwkws enough for a daily driven car with no intentions of racing, that doesn't go through a tank full of juice every week and can be driven by the missus in the wet?
  4. smart minds think alike... I actually got the plates made here in syd around 4 years ago and unfortunately had to hand them back becuase it took 2 kids and 4 years to finally get the beast...
  5. Hi All, Just purchased my P & J last Monday read sig. for details, Warranty will lapse in Oct this year. I am hanging to get a flasher and custom edit but before that I want to finalise all warranty issues. As I haven't had the car for long I would like to get and expert to give the car an overview and give me a list that I can give to Ford to get fixed under warranty. I am in syd (inner west). Anyone have any areas where I can check and raise as an issue. Also I have read a few post regarding high fuel consumption, I know an custom edit will fix this quick smart butnot before the warranty rans out.... if I can wait that long... Any way I can get Ford to have a look at this? Is there a fix? It has just had its 45k service but I feel it is running a bit rich due to the high fuel consumption. I know the more you gun it the more juice you use but looks like it will get 300kms from 50litres if I'm lucky on 98RON mostly city drive with a couple of squirts in between. All help will be appreciated. Ozzie
  6. Zap, thanks for the clear instructions mate. I got up early this morning for a little bit of TLC with the T and followed the procedure. I've got a 04 MKII with 45K on the clock, had it for a week, noticable change. Top stuff. Mate don't hold back on any other quick and easy mods that you know of.
  7. I first found the site around 3-4 years ago. Been a ford fan all my life and since the XR6T was first launched it has been my dream to have my own. Since then my 2nd kid (my boy) was born. I have been waiting patiently till I sold brick on wheels (2002 Expensive Daewoo Vectra). Finally the missus allowed the arrival of our third child, the 2004 Lighting Silver BAII XR6T. If I die tomorrow I will be a happy man... I really am very happy with my purchase. I have own 2 cortinas (TE's) back in the day and I have always flown the ford flag. It is a great feeling to back behind the wheel of the blue oval. I am proud to be among you guys finally... Ozzie
