  5. Thanks for all of the responses guys. Looks like I'll be moving over sooner then I though so the insight into different suburbs has been invaluable.
  6. As the title says immoving to Perth next year to follow a career in the mining industry. Just want to know if any of the WA ppl can point me in the right direction for a good suburb to look at renting/buying a place. Cheers Dave
  7. Cheers mike So it is off to ford then? :/
  8. My mate is looking at driving a new car from brisbane to townsville and he wants to protect it can someone tell me what the blue tape is called that hanra used to protect the front of his car. Cheers
  9. Hey, I've had my 03 Ba xr6t now for about a year and I am thinking about doing some work. My question is what a safe figure would to be aiming for. I know I need to do a clutch before the dyno as I've read on other posts. What else could potentially fail or be the limiting factor in terms of the main running gear (Bottom end, T5 box, diff, etc). I'm not looking at making heaps of power but would like more then I have now. Cheers Dave
  10. After ford pulled the clutch out of the car today they found that the pressure plate had cracked in half and the two pieces were just sitting there. the clutch plate looked fone other then a few burn marks. Has anyone every seen this before? I'm not sure but is this what happens when a clutch explodes or is that the clutch plate blowing apart? dave
  11. If the turbo clutch will fit in the N/a I will let him know. Do you have any idea how much the freight would be. Dave
  12. The BA Mk2 N/A has only got a T5 not the T56 in it.
  13. My mate has a xr N/A BA Mk II. The clutch has been slipping on and off since he got the car from brand new. whilst doing a burnout on sat night as he changed from 1st to 2nd the clutch slipped a little then locked on all sweet for a moment then all of a sudden it just spun . when ford inspected the clutch they said that the "pressure points" (his words not mine) had broken and they were not going to cover the repairs to his car as this would only happen due to excessive use. I understand that there is no way that they would warrant it given the circumstances that the clutch broke under. they want him to pay $2500 to get it back on the road and they said if a non genuine clutch (I proposed a mal wood option 1) was used then the drive line warranty on his car would be void. Can anyone let me know if this is true or are they just having a lend of him. cheers dave
